I saw just kidding, here are the top 10 i would take, in order

Code:
1	Andre Johnson
2	Randy Moss
3	Reggie Wayne
4	Calvin Johnson
5	Larry Fitzgerald
6	Miles Austin
7	Brandon Marshall
8	Greg Jennings
9	DeSean Jackson
10	Roddy White

I predict Fitz and Marshall won't be in your top 10 after the end of this season. :D

I realize that I might need to pick up a QB backup, and I might be trading away for Dallas Clark (some guy in league accidentally auto drafted two top tier TEs).

This is a 10 team league with standard Yahoo scoring.

DST is Saints, though I expect I'll mostly be swapping with waiver wire depending on matchups.

my initial impression for a 10 player league is meh. wide outs are good but any injury to your rbs is gonna cause you to have issues. ryan mathews is gonna be your boom or bust spot. he's in a good position but he's a rook and most rook's hit a wall at some point. Unfortunately, that's usually later in the season with playoffs looming. Thomas also has question marks regarding usage. Is this finally the year he gets a majority of carries? if betts takes red zone, it'll suck again. bush will cut into the production for 5-10 touches a game as well. if all goes well Thomas could be a beast. i'm not big on eli.. i'd rather have spent an earlier pick on a better qb and then found another #3 wr somewhere else. britt/owens may fit your #3 wr role, though i really like sims-walker in that position as well.

I don't understand how people can have such mediocre teams in a 10 team draft.

Who did you draft where? At least rounds 1-5? Which spot did you draft from? It almost looks like you drafted ryan mathews with your first pick. If so, you could of done a lot better

Exactly. Who was your first pick?

I'm in a few leagues, the best team (IMO) that I've drafted thus far is as follows. I use it as comparisson to yours because I was able to steal Ryan Mathews in the 3rd round. I also drafted RB, RB, RB with my first 3 picks which might seem crazy, but its the way it fell - it had to be done. Personally, I love this team.

Code:
QB	Jay Cutler, Chi
RB	Michael Turner, Atl
RB	DeAngelo Williams, Car
RB/WR	Ryan Mathews, SD
WR	Steve Smith, Car
WR	Michael Crabtree, SF
TE	Owen Daniels, Hou
D/ST	Vikings D/ST, Min
K	Lawrence Tynes, NYG

Bench	Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB
Bench	Thomas Jones, KC RB
Bench	Johnny Knox, Chi WR
Bench	Arian Foster, Hou RB
Bench	Matt Ryan, Atl QB
Bench	Austin Collie, Ind WR
Bench	Demaryius Thomas, Den WR

That is how a solid team should look, stacked at RB :D

well his first 2 were mathews and austin, probably in that order, but not necessarily. either way, I don't really like those picks, but it could work. I think the team would be better if it was a PPR league.

and for the OP's question, calvin, and its not even close IMO

nice team zen. I love the bench

My question:

What is your strategy in a 2QB league?

My team just got better. Someone made these two transactions right after the draft:

Code:
dropped Chaz Schilens, Oak to W
added Mark Sanchez, NYJ from W to BE

dropped Jeremy Maclin, Phi to W
added Roy E. Williams, Dal from W to BE

So I have dropped Austin Collie to pickup Jeremy Maclin and dropped Damaryius Thomas to pickup Chaz Schillins.

I have a good feeling about this team

What spot are you drafting from? How many teams are drafting, 10, 12 or other?

10 teams. Not sure of my spot, finding out this weekend I believe. that will be important. Hoping I can get a first or 2nd pick for brees or rodgers

Essentially my draft in that league (yahoo public) was practice (had PPR in mind, since that's the main one I'm drafting for in 2 weeks), and yeah, I probably did draft Mathews a little high (1st rd 8th pick overall).

Looking at it as a PPR team, how far off the mark is it? My ideal RB would have been Ray Rice (or obviously CJ or AP if possible), but I think my RB2 is still a solid choice (though I would have liked to take DeAngelo and Jonathan Stewart as a backup/bench).

if you get the first or second pick, you should be taking either CJ or AP. brees/rodgers is a late 1 or early 2nd round pick. even with 6pts per td, you should be taking either one of those two guaranteed 300+ touch rbs. you can replicate 90% of the stats from brees or rodgers with a brady, romo, the guy from the texans (cant remember name off hand), or manning.

OK guys keepers have been set and I am going to have the 3rd pick in the 2nd keeper round (for those who didn't keep a 2nd keeper). Rules are, if you kept a position in the first round you can't pick that position in the 2nd meaning I will have the 2nd stab at a RB assuming the first guy takes a RB.

Here is what is left out there...

Frank Gore
Stephen Jackson
Cedric Benson
Ryan Mathews

So here's the deal. We get to keep again after this season and next so this pick could by my RB for 2010 and 2011. I assume the first guy will take Gore meaning I will have the other 3 left. Benson will probably have a good year since it's a contract year but I'm worried about the drop-off after getting the pay raise. Jackson is Jackson. He's been abused and doesn't have a lot of mileage left.

That leaves Mathews. Would I be crazy to pick him (assuming Gore is off the board) knowing that I would have him next season as well? Or should I just go for Benson? With this being a keeper league I highly doubt Mathews will be there when it comes back around to me (12 team league).

Thoughts?

**edit**
BTW, there are some other RB names out there as well but I'm gambling on one of them being available when normal draft begins in round 3. Mendenhall, Greene, Grant, McCoy, Addai, etc.

TBH, I think Mendenhall, Greene, and Grant will post similar numbers to Gore, Jackson, Benson and Matthews. 1200-1400 total yds, 8-10 tds. The highest upside I see from this group is Greene and Gore. But Gore is the most unpredictable out of all of them. He could carry the offense but to get the best out of Alex Smith, they're going to use spread/shotgun offense quite often. If he's successful, then Gore's numbers will take a hit.

Anyone care to rate or comment on my 1st of 3 drafts this year. It is a standard 10 team ESPN PPR league. The commish only lets you carry 4 RBs so that explains the WR heavy bench. I had 2nd pick. Mostly i tried consentrating on WR or RB that also got high number of receptions. Ryan Mathews was a reach with my 3rd overall pick but i like to take chances.

QB- Tom Brady
RB- Ray Rice
RB- Ryan Mathews
RB/WR- Justin Forsett
WR- Steve Smith (NY)
WR- Wes Welker
TE- Antonio Gates
D/ST- eagles
K- Rob Bironas

BE- Jay Cutler
BE- Ahmed Bradshaw
BE- T.J. Whosyourdaddy
BE- Devery Henderson
BE- Nate Burleson
BE- Chris Chambers
BE- Mario Manningham

i'd say average. your players are not td heavy which carry a lot of weight in fantasy. if it's a ppr league, rice, matthews, smith, and welker are good picks. your te gates will probably score more td's than any of them, which i don't think is a good sign. :\

I think you have too many wr's on your bench. maybe you can trade a couple and matthews to get a stud rb.

mathews was your 3rd overall pick? how did you get ray rice? I'm going to guess you went rice, mathews, smith your first 3 rounds? bit early for smith IMO, but if he repeats last year's numbers it would be worth it. I usually would wait to take a TE, especially if you grabbed one first. If I wanted an elite, I'd probably try to take the 3rd guy taken out of gates, clark, and finley

No i went Rice, Brady, Mathews. Smith was way down the draft. Like round 7 or 8 probaby. Since its PPR i like Rice a lot. Not an AP fan and C. Johnson was picked 1st. It was snake draft so i had 2nd pick then 19th pick. Peyton, Brees, and Rodgers were already gone so i nabbed Brady. Im a Pats fan anyways and i like him.

I dont think, rice, smith, and welker will have as good a season as last year.
rice is going to lose receptions to boldin and stallworth, smith isn't going to be the #1 wr by the end of the year (their wr corps is loaded, they drafted nicks for a reason and they will try to move back to the run.) and welker is coming off a serious knee injury. Still a solid team though since it is ppr.

I still would have taken peterson if it was #2 overall. looks like minny's #1 wr sidney rice is going to be out half a season, harvin is having migraine issues and they lost their 3rd down back in taylor. if anything peterson is going to gain even more touches.

Rice Welker and Gates were about your best pickups. I think you overpaid for Brady, he is going downhill and the Pats Offense isn't what it used to be. Schaub would have been a better choice IMO. Or an Elite WR instead. Your bench isn't too bad. As for Matthews...jury is still out. If he gets TD touches and is their workhorse, you will be in solid shape. If not, and he gets dinged up or some other nonsense, you'll be lucky to make the playoffs. I like the risk, as that is what makes it fun.

OK, here's my team from the second league I'm in (I'm in a lot this year).

My team was autodrafted 3 days ago using my custom pre-rankings, but I think I did a little better. This is 10 team, 2QB league, non PPR. I think I'm solid except for the QBs themselves, which aren't elite but do have some upside. Byron Leftwich was a waiver add because of the Roethlisberger situation.
