UGH, forgot I had this game on pause while I was on the shower, and it just turned 3-3..decided to check in to this thread and see that the Cards are going to take the lead.. =/

tying run for the Tigers on third. pudge has been fantastic tonight......he needs to get hit in the lower body more often 😛

this one's gonna be close!!!

damn.....a game of just a few inches.

Granderson stumbling and Rodney's error.

gg......not lookin' good for the Tigs.

Good win for STL. All the breaks seem to be going their way, unlike their previous World Series luck, going on 20+ years now.

It's not over yet though, they need an excellent start from Weaver tomorrow. Going to a Game 6 against Rogers is not an appealing proposition...

hehe, gracious winners.....gotta love 'em.

this was the Tigers' game to throw away and that's what they did. a good sign that pudge was hitting well.....but it might be too little too late.

the errors by the Tigers' pitchers have been killer. Zumaya looks terrified on the mound. 100mph+ is great, but rather useless when the batter knows you can't find the strikezone.

Hopefully LaRussa brings up the issue about the "dirt" on his hand if this does go to game 6.

I don't know about "needing" an excellent start. I would say a more appropriate statement would be that the Tigers need an excellent start from Verlander, Rogers, and Robertson. I would also say that we could win tonight with just a a decent start from Weaver. Verlander has not looked quite so good of late.

Also, going against Rogers in game 6 doesn't seem so bad when you've got a fully rested reigning Cy Young winner ready for a game 7.

Go Cards!

heh, obviously it's Detroit who are the ones with their backs against the wall, but I've seen too many sickening Cardinal World Series moments in my lifetime, I really want this to end tonight.

True that. Let's not even think about the last time we were up 3-1 in the world series.

I'll be down at Al Hrabosky's by the stadium to take in the game. (you can hear the stadium from there) Hopefully, the "folks" will "go crazy" tonight.

game on tonight.

bitter end to a great season or another breath of hope??? Verlander is due for a nasty game, so maybe he can get the best of Weaver. any weather reports from St. Louis?

Reports are that the system sitting on top of us right now should push out around game time. Pretty good chance of a delayed start, but it should be played tonight.

Verlander doesn't have it tonight. Grilli for the Tigers is already warming up in the pen for Detroit.

Verlander gets out of a bases loaded jam in the first inning.
