***Official 2006 ATOT Secret Santa Thread**** -- NOW WITH LIST!

WOOT! Got my SS gift (one of them anyway) today, along with a card from my SS to boot. It looks like my gift was just drop shipped directly to me from the online merchant, and it just so happened that the card arrived at the same time!

Thanks a ton Matt! I love what I got, and will love what I get later. Matt, known to most of you as MartyMcFly3, is one of the two running this thing, and I now that I look back on a couple of things, I had a good smile. Back on the 12th of December, Matt sent me a PM that stated the following:

Your SS informed us that your gift will not arrive to you until after xmas due to a matter they couldn't control. Please be patient as there was nothing more your SS could do to make it arrive their on time. They assured us that you do indeed have the gift coming your way.

With him being the CEO of this ATOT SS thing, I thought nothing about it, and was glad my SS decided to let me know . You're smooth, Matt.

And now, on to the pictures and what I got. I opened the card to find a nice, heartfelt message. I can tell you must've read through a few of my past posts, as you knew that I was married (just recently too).

The card. - I got a chuckle out of the "HUGE DELAY!!" you wrote on the print-out . I'm surprised these things have been pushed back, I had no idea! Can't wait to get it in.

The received gift. - It's a quick charger for the battery with my Nikon D50 DSLR. Comes with a car adapter (as well as a wall adapter). Score!! Awesome, awesome gift. I hope it comes in handy sometime soon if I'm ever on the road and need a quick charge in my car.

Awesome job Matt! Thank for making my first SS experience a great one. I hope to do a little extra for my SS next year, but given who I got this year, I didn't have much to go on. I'll explain further to my SS once the list is revealed.

Im all for the spirit and everything but I received something that had nothing to do w/ my likes/dislikes and rather on something that I dont even partake in. Hell, I even gave my SS a specific DVD if they couldnt find anything...but they decided to opt for this DVD about glass blowing a bong. Well there is one plus side to this one...I can give it to my girlfriends brother. Sorry I just kind of had to rant, I am thankful for actually receiving something, and its the thought that after all does count. Happy new year to all =]

Yes you did. the Gerber knife and utility tool were exactly what i needed. small and easy to put in your pocket and I carry both everyday. Very cool, thank you.

Grrr... as I say every year, we should never never be told who are Secret Santas are. Unless of couse someone didn't get a gift, or needs something be exchanged. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt, even though people seem to finger themselves every year(mzkhadir signed his card last year, jigga totally, randomly PMed me this year, & drop shipped with a "payed by" address).

...and EliteGoodGuy, how could you let someone else open YOUR gift?! It was wrapped & everything. She probably threw away the card. :|

edit: after a further look i dont it was girl...just a guy with wrapping skills..i know ive said it 10x but this FF game cartridge is so badass...not only is it a nice collectable but it is all in japaneese...which is cool bcuz i'm currently learning the language (written and spoken) !

I figured there is no Final Fantasy nostalgia that can top not just *an* old FF cartridge, but *the original* FF1 cartridge for Famicom that started it all in '87... I almost kept if for myself, no joke.

And guess I figured right when I thought to myself, "who wouldn't want a pair of tall Family Guy shooters with Stewie's drink recipes on them?"
