DEEEEEETROIT BAAAAAAASKETBALL

riiiiiiiight

the game's not over and the series is far from over, my friend.
guaran-sheed game 2

hahaha...he better have a better game than today.

Be harder to have a crappier game...

6 points and 4 fouls, lol

Sheed had 6 blocked shots.....but 6 FG attempts was atrocious. when the Pistons guards play one-on-one, we lose most of the time. when our guards are passing, cutting, and creating for others, we win most of the time. tonight was a perfect example.

btw Sheed is 3-0 in guarantees....i wouldn't mind if he did!

Its startling what ginobili can do in a body with such white skin. :Q

I love that fingerroll-turned-dunk. Reminiscent of jordans dunk-turned-fingerroll. :D:thumbsup:

This series is over. The spurs own the pistons on offense and defense. Their going to have to shoot a helluva lot of bricks in detroit for the pistons to have any chance.

I'm proud of my Bama boys again tonight. :D

Horry's once again proving (IMO) that he's the best role player in the NBA (especially in the playoffs.) Leading the Spurs in rebounds, playing great defense, getting 3 steals and posting a very strong 9 points at the half. And McDyess is pretty much the only one performing well offensively for the Pistons.

Detroit's going to have to get hot for the entire second half with a letdown to have a prayer of catching up. If Billups can get hot, anything's possible, but the Spurs have been putting on a clinic on how to run an offense thus far tonight.

Spurs making it look easy.

The Pistons barely got by the injury plagued Heat...whoever thinks they will beat a healthy Spurs team is most likely mistaken...

I predict Spurs in 5 if that...

Detroit can't win when they've got two opponents: the Spurs and the Referees.

So many ridiculous calls, giving Rip a T for complaining about a non-called foul, then Tim Duncan not getting called on the EXACT play. Ridiculous IMHO.

The NBA needs to look at the replays, and see that there is an EXTREMELY EVIDENT bias towards not only the Spurs, but against the Pistons.

No one likes our Deeeeeeetroit Basketball - thug style: with no stars, just a team of strong tough players.

Don't blame it on the refs now...that's lame..blame it on this:

Prince - 3 points
Billups - 13 pts
Rasheed Wallace - 11 pts.

Pistons top scorer came off the bench...that's pretty sad. Not sure but I think the Spurs hit 11 threes to the Pistons 0 - that's a pretty big difference don't ya think :)

Let's be real now...the Pistons got manhandled and taught a few lessons in b-ball in games 1 and 2...Deeetroit lost by 21 pts tonight...don't blame the refs....blame your team.

Like I said before..the Pistons barely got by an injury strickened Heat team....what in the world would make you think they will beat a 100% healthy Spurs team?

Spurs in 5.

Horry is one of the classiest players in the league IMO.
Rarely arguing calls, always helping a player down on the floor even on the opposing team

I didn't blame the loss on anyone, actually I said nothing about the loss. I said we can't fight both the Spurs and the Refs.

You can't look at that game and tell me that it wasn't called poorly. Detroit has been getting bad calls the entire playoffs. NOT ONCE did Shaq get called for double dribbling. Look at last game with Ginobili's charge into Ben Wallace at the 3-point line, and Ben getting called for the foul. Look at Ben's charging foul when he was clearly within the circle. Hamilton's call tonight for reaching that blatently was a jump ball, Tim Duncan's inability to inbound the ball in the 4th being disregarded and given as Spurs' ball.

The Pistons weren't playing their best tonight, given, but they can't play well at all with fouls being called left and right. 28 points of the Spurs 97 were free throws. 10 of detroits were. 34 attempted free throws for the spurs tonight. 16 for detroit.

I'm rooting for the spurs, but think they got the benefit of the doubt on the calls. That's a little home cooking for the spurs that will change in detroit. Refs also give benefit of the doubt to the team thats playing a lot better too...and that's w/o question the spurs.

The pistons beat miami because defensively they close on the ball so fast, but as good as they are with that, they have lead feet compared to the spurs ability to close.

Throw in the fact that they have no answer for the spurs slashers ginobili and parker, the spurs are getting all of their players great open looks while detroit has gotten almost ZERO open looks, except on some breaks. They are going to need a helluva lot more than the refs on their side. Until the pistons start getting plenty of open looks, they don't have a chance, because they aren't even slowing down the spurs.

Duncan, Horry, and Ginobili are probably 3 of the top 'winners' in the league...they play the best in the most pressured situations, and never seem to make the same mistake twice. And detroit is playing frustrated, because they're used to causing other teams surrender the ball and make bad decisions, but its not happening that way with the spurs.

Spurs in 5...detroit will find a way to make enough miracle shots tuesday or thursday, while the spurs will throw up too many 3pt bricks...then the pistons will roll over.

meh. the Pistons have to start hitting more baskets. they also just need to keep their heads down and play and not worry about the officiating. you can't control it, no use b1tching about it.

i hope the crowd at the Palace provides the inspiration they need to play up to their ability. if they can, they can still at least make it a good series.

that said, the Spurs are better than i thought they would be.

Please! You can say it was the refs that made the difference if it was close, but you got blown out by 20+ each game!

you cannot be missing so many easy layups while the other team keeps making shots and expect to win. I have been rooting for the pistons for a long time but quite frankly I am disappointed. too many shots missed. lackadaisical plays. they were SCHOOLED on BBall last. I still cannot get over how many easy shots they keep missing. This was also my complaint against them when they played miami. They got by because they were a good defensive team. Now they are playing another team that is almost as good (or better) defensively as they are and to be honest far better offensively. I am hoping they can sweep the three home games but honestly, I am skeptical. Game 3 will determine. If that is even close, then it is over. The Spurs have seiously impressed me.

i'm convinced Bruce Bowen is a dirty player.

he was knocked down on a screen during play, and then purposely grabbed Ben's legs to trip him in retaliation. :|

Actually Game 1 was a 15 point margin. AND, like I previously mentioned, 28 pts of the Spurs points were from free throws, while only 10 of detroit's were.

I agree wholeheartedly that Detroit needs to step it up, they were missing shots and not playing up to their standards, BUT that's not the ONLY reason they lost.
