Detroits playing really well, compared to in SA that is. Everyone is attacking. As long as they keep it up to the end of the game, and don't tire and settle for perimeter shots, they have a great chance tonight.

Horry is all class.

Playing defense, the screener shoves him to the floor out of bounds (directly in front of the ref) and the ball bounces right back to the guy he was covering giving Detroit a free second chance shot. The shot misses and the ball AGAIN bounces back, but by this time Horry has had a chance to pick himself up and get back in bounds where he catches the ball. The ref then whistles him for catching the ball after being out of bounds. Technically correct call at that point, but it clearly never should have come to that as the foul that caused Horry to be knocked to the floor out of bounds was quite flagrant and directly in front of the ref.

He handled it so well though despite the fact his team is down and most people would obviously be frustrated. He calmly stood in front of the ref and obviously was letting the ref politely know that he blew the entire sequence to begin with. But he never raised his voice or got excited. He just grinned. :D Gotta love the guy.

Other than 3-point shooting, Detroit has played nearly flawless ball tonight, especially here in the 4th quarter. They just can't miss right now. Going to be a good series afterall (I was expecting it would.)

I still say Detroit's the best team in the NBA when they play well. We take all three games at home, SA is in trouble.

Why is this so funny?

i dont think it supposed to be funny. i think its supposed to be annoying and get under the other team's (and fan's) skin. which it seems to do.

i'm convinced Bruce Bowen is a dirty player.

he was knocked down on a screen during play, and then purposely grabbed Ben's legs to trip him in retaliation. :|

hmmm.. so Bruce Bowen gets knocked down and HE'S the dirty player?

Bowen got knocked down during the game. Then he grabs someone's leg who happens to be next to him because he was frustrated. yeah, that's dirty.

This series is over.

it ain't over yet. just 1 more win and we're all squared away. all the pressure's on the Spurs right now. everyone's written off Detroit. This is right where they like to be.

Wtf was that call on Hamilton? He hadn't even turned completely around before getting knocked over by a san antonio guy going full speed, yet the call is on him?

absolutely not. the PA announcer in detroit is a fan favorite. he gets the crowd into it and they feed off his calls. you have to be there to appreciate it.

I know! All three games, there's been terrible calls against detroit. Good thing the Pistons still won this one.

Thats cool Det-riot decided to make it a series, now the Spurs will probably take one on the road and win it all at home, couldn't ask for a better outcome, but do not expect the Spurs to have double-digit turnovers again.

Edit: And before any of you get any crazy ideas about the Pistons maybe winning all 3 at home, it's only happened ONCE in NBA history when they did it last year, and no way Pop lets it happen again.

this same Pistons squad did it last year, i don't see why it's so crazy to think that they can't do it again.

Just wanted to say that was an amazing game by Detroit in the second half and I loved watching it. Didn't catch much of the first half but just to see McDyess step off the bench like that was great. If they can match the intensity and find that groove again they can knot up this series. GO PISTONS!!!! wooooooo

Spurs in 6. All these Detroit fans getting worked up over 1 game. When the series is 2-2 or even 3-2 in favor of Detroit I will be worried. These are the same Pistons that almost got beat by the Pacers...

uh....the same Pistons who won the championship last season, dude.

btw, "almost got beat" isn't quite accurate considering it was in 6 games.

it's not just the win, it was finally seeing Detroit playing their brand of defense and finally getting their scoring groove back.

Yup, they finally got their act together and played some defense.. well the Spurs can D it up as good or even better then them. I'm not worried a lick, the Spurs will simply not lose at home and the Pistons will simply not sweep them at home. Keep playing that defending champion card, the Spurs won 2 years ago remember and have only been getting better. Rip, Rasheed, and Wallace are all hotheads who will get T'd up when the slightest boarderline call is made against them, the Spurs on the other hand are more calm, collected, and can absolutely win on the road.
