Edit: And their next game is against the Flyers, so for all intents and purposes they have clinched 2nd and the division title. 😛

Poor Flyers... as much as I hate them, I have to feel bad for them this year.

And awesome to see that the Hurricanes will be missing the playoffs :thumbsup:
(They didn't deserve to win the Cup last year.)

Gotta say, the East has been exciting to follow.

Gonna be pretty interesting to see how it shakes up in both conferences; both have so many potential series combinations we won't know till the last games are over.

wow. The pens put up a pretty pathetic performance last night. 0/12 on the PP?? They need to get it together and beat ottowa tomorrow night.

More like the Sabres came in and played a full solid 60 minutes of hockey.

They dominated the pens in all aspects of the game. They came out and played like they meant business for the playoffs this year. They played great defensive hockey, had only a couple turnovers, had superior back checking, protected their zone at the blueline, and shutdown the pens powerplay. When the pens' powerplay isn't productive, they get into trouble.

These past couple games convinced me the sabres mean business.

Congrats to the Sabres for the two new banners they get to hoist up in the HSBC arena. All I hope is that there will be a third banner to put right in the middle of thoes two in June.

Last home game for Buffalo tonight. It's a game they should win, since they've owned Boston the last two seasons 12-1-2. Let's go Buffalo! 🙂

Well... I just think it goes to show what trading away leadership does to a young team. Here you have basically a team of AHLers and some guys with 2-3 years of league experience under their belt. It's just not enough especially in the NW. I also think coaching is a huge issue right now. If you look at the way MacT runs this team, it must be pretty hard for guys to get chemistry going. Not only does he change lines every game, but sometimes multiple times within the same game.

They traded away the wrong guy at the deadline but that just compounded their problems. Every other Canadian team throws money at those guys when it is time to do so. Lowe dropped the ball on that one. Also, Bergeron was misdiagnosed and what he did bring to the table was not cashed in on often enough. He is an offensive defenseman, yet MacT chose to use 5 forwards on his PP for most of the year. That is just bad coaching. So they throw him away for a prospect for the wrong reasons... because he isn't the best defensively.

I don't know... it would be easier to answer what is right with the Oilers at the moment. Lowe says he will be active come July 1st so we'll see. Personally I am wondering who will want to go to Edmonton for an obvious rebuilding year. I can't see Smyth going back. Since the trade deadline, I have only watched maybe 20 minutes of Oilers hockey. Before that, I never missed a game for several years.

Anyway I am much more interested in tonight's Eastern battles. This is crazy... to think that it could come down to Saturday night for the Leafs / Habs is awesome.
 
Yeah, i've barely watched a game since the trade deadline...i have no desire to see us lose again.

And of course, we're down 1-0 tonite already 🙁

The east is very entertaining though, & the playoffs will be fun to watch, though they'd be a hell of a lot more entertaining if my team was in...
 
2 straight shutouts to Minny... if heads don't roll, just chalk it up to the old boys' club in E-town. Frickin' bullcrap.

Leafs AND Habs lost tonight! Wow, the Saturday game is huge AND the Isles can still make it in. The last spot in the West is STILL not decided... as of right this second.

Can't wait for next week... I have a business trip during the middle of the week so I'll be in a hotel drinking beers watching the games!! :beer:

I'm wondering - For those of you who have bought jersey's where do you get it customized? do you pay the 80 buck premium or do you go to a local place to get it done? If there is a local place any suggestions for SOCAL 😛
