I think I'm going down to Atlantic City for the night to drown my sorrows.

Put something on #12 red, it seems to be hot tonight. My liver's still recovering from games 1-3.

Wait till the Yankees/Torre see the replay of what ARod did... how can you have any respect for a punk move like that, even if he's your teammate?

Right, and I assume running over a catcher at home plate is a very unrespectable thing to do too? A Rod plays with so much heart and he wants to win so bad that he does everything he can, sometimes a little too much. In fact when the Yankees and Torre see the replay of what he did, I'm sure he will get a nice pat on the back for trying all he could.
Anyone who gives him a pat on the back for knocking a player's glove off is classless. That's not the right way to play the game.
But throwing at batters is?
Pitching inside is indeed a part of the game. When a player hangs over the plate he takes away the outside pitch from the pitcher's options. But throwing at someone's back or head is a frustration move too. THe difference between the 2 is that Arod's move has no chance of seriously hurting someone.

I don't think Pedro was pitching inside to Arod yesterday after Jeter hit that 3 run triple.
So what if he was? Pitching inside is how he makes a living, it's a strategic part of the game.

Your comparing attempting to swatting the ball away from an obvious out, to a pitch into someone obviously in retaliation for a great hit? You sir have just cursed the Sox. People like yourself should not be alive.
Pitching inside is a part of the game. OP said nothing about hitting anyone in retaliation. Are you illiterate? Just in case, I bolded the statement for you. Some Yankee fans such are yourself will say funny things like "You sir have just cursed the Sox. People like yourself should not be alive." Lmao, I got a good laugh out of that one!

BTW, are you scared? Scared that your highest paid team in baseball might render the biggest choke in all of sports tomorrow night, to their arch rival Red Sox? You better say a prayer every hour tomorrow before the game that doesn't happen...

Indeed, both calls were right. Quite frankly I am surprised at that "slap" manuevuer by Arod. That's not the type of "class" I thought Yankees were known for.

Yankees have class. Willimas, Jeter, Mo, etc all have my respect. A-Rod has been a blight to that image. This series alone he's slapped a tagging pitcher, leaned into a slow curve, (didn't quite hit him) and tried to trip a Boston player at 2nd AFTER he had the ball gone for a double play. Did he just start his crap this year or has it just been undercover? (btw, Cabrera put a nasty Rod Blake style hip check last game, not proud of it but it didn't effect the play) Mueller was the one player Boston couldn't lose because of injury, a major hit to offense and defense. I thought being drilled with the fastball early may have been on purpose but looking back I doubt it.

WTF was the deal with riot gear? Would you rush the field with guys like Manny, Ortiz, Shiefield, or Sierra with a bat? 😉
from their positioning i'd say it was more for the umpires protection. And do you not remember the last time a fan charged the field? He made it to the first base coach iirc

Being the OP of that statement, I think I know what I was saying. Incase your not reading correctly, the statement clearly means that when Arod was hit, it was not "pitching inside" it was an intentional retaliatory pitch.

If Derek Lowe starts I don't like the RedSox chances. It might equal out if Kevin Brown starts for the Yanks.

It comes down to how tired is Lowe? He was pulled relatively early in his last outing, but he's still on short rest. Other pitchers include Wakefield, Mendoza, Timlin, Embree, Meyers, and maybe even Pedro at the end if needed. (doubtful)

A friend of mine has two tickets. His GF is not feeling well so she may not go. I don't wanna say that I'm hoping she is sick, but yeah, I am.

I understand Arod out, but why not Jeter on 2nd? He would have advanced either way.
Because when you cheat, it's an automatic out, get it? Like the Olympics, when you use steroids, you're banned and all medals are stripped from you. Come to think of it, if this was the Olympics NY wouldn't have Sheffield or Giambi b/c they would have been banned a long time ago

so lets see, your accusing Giambi and Sheff of using steroids? i could understand Giambi, how in the world can you say Sheff?

SPEED, honestly, ALL your posts are a bunch of buLLsh**

Umm...
