This arod guy is payed 22 m per year?

CLASSLESS YANKEE FANS THROWING MORE DEBRIS, DELAY OF GAME
i'm not a yankees fan, but lets not kid ourselves. The announcers even showed a flashback to a previous game at Fenway where Red Sox faithful did the same exact thing. Fans throwing stuff on the field isn't unprecendented, nor does it happen much more frequently in new york then in other cities.

not to defend classless behavior.

in the case of the red sox the umps CLEARLY got it WRONG and here tonite they CLEARLY got it right.

so it isn't fair to compare one to the other.

AROD SHOULD BE EJECTED AND SUSPENDED FOR GAME 7, HORSESHT U DON'T PLAY BASEBALL LIKE THAT
Whatever. The appropriate action was taken. End of story.
No, there's a right way to play the game and a wrong way. Hitting players intentionally to knock the ball out is not the right way to play the game, you TAKE IT LIKE A MAN AND GO TO THE BENCH. Just like if you get hit by the pitcher, you TAKE FIRST w/out yelling m.fcker to the pitcher, it's the right way to play the game.
ARod did something stupid. He will be vilified by the sports world tomorrow no doubt. His reputation will forever be affected like Roberto Alomar spitting on an umpire. I agree that it was an unsportsmanlike thing to do. He will hear about it. Suspension is just plain ridiculous.

CLASSLESS YANKEE FANS WARNED BY PA ANNOUNCER NOW. One would think we're in Oakland or something.

People calm down... All fans get like this, although there should be strict laws against it (immediate mass ejections for entire sections, maybe even a forfeit, etc.).

iirc baseball rules do state that if it doesn't stop, the home team will have to forfeit the game. I don't recall a situation where it's ever gone that far before though

Is it just me or did Jeter's swat make him look really "girly?" I laugh everytime I see that replay.
Arod. AROD. Jeter was running around the bases like the pretty boy he is. Arod was doing the dirty work
