And finally, most people that know me even a little bit are much more concerned about my habit of collecting assault weapons than my daring to buy a jointer or [gasp]dust collertor[/gasp]

everyone was so interested you had to re-bring this up?

I am more sure it's really not gun cleaning day, but your feeble attempt strike fear in my widdle heart. Perhaps a Corvette would suit you well too, like guns I hear it makes things bigger.

The hammerless-Taurus is a good purse gun too, might be easier than your pocket since you carry one anyway. I can't say I know anyone that pocket carries except street thugs and even then easy to spot in all but the biggest sliders.

why can't take the same you try and dish out? crap you brought up today from a month ago?

You really need to learn 'give it a rest' yourself.

I keep letting this things die and you keep sneaking a bump back up days, weeks, months later.

You don't want me to tear you apart then don't bring me up directly or in your little 'hypothetical' games.

Get it, got it, good....

Calico

I bought it after the orig assault weapons ban, they're pretty rare now, you see some of the .22 Calicos @ gun shows, but less & less of the 9mm. It's an entry gun, I bought it for it's collectability.

They were used in Total Recall (the 1990 movie) with Schwarzenegger in it.

I've always wondered if people who had multiple guns actually used them or just collected them as something to collect. I'm not sure I could pay thousands of dollars for something I would never use the primary purpose of. I don't really think using it at the shooting range counts as using it properly either ;)

I really don't know, about the whole collecting thing, I've always had a list of the guns I wanted, now that I'm older & can afford it, (actually about 15 years ago) I started collecting.

I've stopped a couple of assaults with guns, have a concealed permit, grew up in the Northern US where it was a little more unusual to not have a collection of guns.

Supposed to go boar hunting soon, should be interesting, and I plan on going to the Dakotas for a deer season in the next few years, my old HS buddies hunt a lot...

alkemyst, you are an asshat, plain & simple, you will more than likely remain an asshat for the remainder of your life.

Go away, you agreed some time ago to leave my threads alone.

I'm actually in a happy place, having had a small attractive female asian physician feel my prostate this morning, perhaps it'll work for you too...

Ah i see. no wonder the sites I went to when I searched Calico guns said pre-ban. cool, probably could make a lot of money when you sell it after Arnold retires.

The AR15 is pre-ban too, so I can get away with the collapsable stock, etc...

Ok and I left your little sorry stories alone, but then you started getting all geeky and mentioning 'inside' joke type stuff and like today totally bumped a thread that died a month ago to insult me (or at least attempt to do so)....prior to that month have I said anything to you? No, you are not worth my time...you are just a silly little broken man trying to feel good by posting your 'successes' here....you are one of many.

The mods have mentioned this to you before, if you do not want me responding do not call me out.

It's that simple no need to show me your guns and stuff hehe.

holy smokes. You have newer and better weaponry than our Canadian Army. :)

But does he have a TANK? ;)

no, but really, neither do we.

Loose lips sink ships!

You have just left yourself WIDE OPEN for invasion!

Hey moose, I think we can take them, I'll split the booty with ya!

Nah, I make lots of fun about Canada/Canadians, but grew up in North & South Dakota & always secretly wanted to live in the Northern Provinces.

With that arsenal, you can rule them. With an Iron fist!

some people just collect em, same way some people collect sporting goods stuff like bats and balls and cards, some people collect anime... to each their own.

as for having several guns.... that are practical... i carry every day i leave the house unelss im going out of state.... i leave it locked in the glove box when i have to go into the post office... and im prob gonna get a 380 kel-tec for the summer (even though ive been carrying my 9mm and its the smallest in its class) for nealry 3 years now... i just want something a tad smaller for summer... so i can wear lighter clothes and not double up t-shirts all the time and stuff

Numbnuts, I swear your only mission in life is to follow Mr. Moose around and give him sh1t. Is your life that pathetic? Probably is, but who am I to judge, I'm not a professional know-it-all.

I challenge you to find out where I have followed him around. You will find him trying to start crap constantly and then running to FI to cry.

It would be easy to follow his threads and find tons of snippets that he was trying to poke at me, yet I never responded to.

Seriously read first before you jump on the chump wagon.

Christ, I was making fun of myself... You could argue with a mirror, dude.

WTF would I carry a purse? I use a pocket holster so I don't print, If a LEO can see a print, you lose your permit. It's the only comfortable way I've found to carry in Texas without wearing a fanny pack and in Texas, if you see a guy with a fanny pack, you can pretty well assume he's packing.

I don't think we're that far away from it in the US to be honest. 9-11 made everyone feel a little less safe, but they'll forget & we'll see the same old arguments soon enough.

I have a pretty big gun safe & a http://www.gunvault.com/minideluxe.asp on my nightstand.

Sweet,

I have a Charles Daily (I know they're crap compared to 99.9% of other .45's) on loan to my father in law. I'd love to add an AK 74 to my collection or a full auto anything, just can't quite justify the price.

Trying to start a collection, but I'm poor. :p I just got this 92fs a month ago and I love it, shoots flawlessly. :)

That's how I started too, with one handgun, just sort of kept going as I could afford it.

Friend of mine has been buying real high $ guns over the last few years, he has a buddy who did the same thing & it's part of his retirement strategy, a friend of his did the same thing & slowly unloadeds them @ a profit @ gun shows for some extra $. No taxes, etc...

Friend of mine's father had 200+ long guns when we were growing up, it was sort of strange, he never cleaned them, just collected them. We took them out & shot them & cleaned them for him...
