Well shit. Not only does this completely undercut climate science consensus, I've now decided not to vote for Obama in 2020.

Can you explain your logic here?
I can. Ex-President Obutthole is one of the politicians that claimed sea level rise is a dire and direct threat to people of the world including the United States. Yet he spends millions on an elaborate mansion and estate right off the coast within yards of the ocean. Just one more example of eco-fascists that want citizens to obey the rules and laws they get to ignore.

Barrack "There’s only so big a house you can have" Obama just bought a new house with Michelle. It is 7000 sq ft, seven bedrooms, 29 acres. Because, green new deal. Also interesting is how close it is to the ocean, how close to sea level it is. Guess he must be pretty sure the sea isn't rising very much any time soon.

Your trans balls thread is classic trolling. This one however is weak. Redouble your efforts and try again.

This makes no sense. Clearly when you spend 15 million on beach front property it's a statement of your determination to making stopping climate change personal.

There may be only one truth but there's a million ways to rationalize delusions. Stay cool.

And this matters because....?

His message is quite clear, if you could but stop and listen.

It is hypocritical and immoral for "big gov" Democrats to preach that others should lose freedoms, lose liberty to live life to its fullest. To have a small impact, when they themselves do not sacrifice. They themselves live large and enjoy the full fruits of American exceptionalism. Of our glorious planet destroying bounty.

Why should anyone sacrifice when they will not? He who preaches should lead by example.

That is why it matters. If you want to blunt the opposition you need address their better arguments.

I accept that we do have the ability to harm our environment, cause damage to our ecosystem. I believe human made pollutants can and do cause changes to our climate. Where I disagree, and think even the scientists leave the science behind and instead get into they fortune telling arena is the doom and gloom predicted. Banning straws, plastic bottles is lol-worty feel good do nothing nonsense. As long as our population is increasing at an exponential none of that matters. But, Obama buying ocean front property sure makes it obvious that even prominent lefties aren't too concerned withe the FUD they keep preaching.

How is doing something, “do nothing nonsense”? Weird logic

Liberals say you gotta bake the cake, right?

I'm not trolling there or here. I think it is pretty funny that those that scream the loudest about the consequences of climate change clearly ignore the warnings themselves. Obama just bought ocean front property. Doesn't seem like he's concerned with flooding or storms one bit. Wonder why...?

Maybe he just wants some beach front property right now and isn't too interested in the investment value of that land a century in the future?
Also what law is there that says Obama can buy a beach front property but but regular citizens can't?

TBH you haven't explained anything in a logical way, you've just spewed a bunch of bollocks because you have an ideological problem with someone else's point of view.

But the storm surges, bruh! Al Gore suggested they could already be underwater in "An Inconvenient Truth." Luckily that all turned out to be false too.

So in other words first you claim he got something barely above sea level and so that somehow meant he didn’t accept the science of climate change. When you find out it’s not barely above sea level you decide to start ranting about Al Gore instead of just admitting you were wrong.

Also you can’t even spell his name right. Lol. Thanks for yet again serving as the world’s best ad for liberalism.

1. How do you know how efficient it is?
2. How do you know if they plan to add on solar ect?
3. How do you know how high it is above sea level??????
3. They bought a existing house.
4. Lots of acres is good instead of wall to wall houses.
5. Houses can be zoned to for efficiency and even shut down.
6. I think you and Taj are the same person.

This is how stupid climate change deniers look.

They create very stupid strawman to argue against.

The highest sea level rise estimated over the next 20 years is 9 inches. Averaged to about 6 inches.

Over the next 50 years the highest is estimated to be about 19 inches.

https://www.globalchange.gov/browse/multimedia/projected-sea-level-rise-and-flooding-2050

The Obama house is 15 feet above sea level.

https://www.topozone.com/massachusetts/dukes-ma/island/marthas-vineyard/

15 fucking feet with the sea level rise over the next 50 years estimated to be 19 inches tops.

Look how stupid you are when you don't fact check your sensationalist stories designed to prey upon your science illiteracy and cultish stupidity.

That just doesn't make any sense. I'm not an Obama fanboy, still less an Al Gore one. I was aware of what was then referred to as 'the greenhouse effect' before I'd ever even heard of either of them.

I'm just baffled as to the sheer childish petulance involved in deciding about a crucial issue of fact - that's going to affect all of us - based on some unrelated gripe with the people you have decided to associate with it.

CO2-driven Climate change remains a fact whatever you think about Obama or Gore (or Sting or Bono, or a whole bunch of other equally irritating rich celebs...and Sting and Bono are very irritating indeed). And it's not even as if Obama has passed laws about it that he's now breaking. His new home (if it exists) breaks no climate-change laws, he's probably rich enough in any case that he doesn't need to care if it's underwater in a 100 years from now.

In fact one of my gripes with Obama is that he didn't do very much about climate change.

I tend to think it's unstoppable, as is Brexit. Some study just came out saying optimists live longer than pessimists. I say, good, they can live long enough to find out how wrong they were.

...and when I stay AGW is "unstoppable" I don't mean for any natural reasons, I mean because humans are so rubbish at organising themselves and being remotely rational when it comes to politics. Conservatives are living proof that we are probably a doomed species.

Rules against buying homes on the water front?

Here’s many waterfront homes you Tajy could buy down in Galveston.
https://www.zillow.com/galveston-tx/waterfront/

I swear all you TDS suffers are off your rockers, making up laws and thinking former democratic presidents and Vice Presidents are wizards.

Dude don't suggest Galveston.

That's downright cruel and unusual punishment.

Talk about FUD -- this statement reeks of FUD -- I'm all for Obama doing this. He's made responsible decisions and put effort into achieving, this is something anyone in America can do regardless of race, skin color, sex, religion, etc. -- you know that is not true yet you keep on keeping on because it is a Republican talking point that has been proven to not be true!!

As usual, conservative "logic" is superficial at best. They deal in extremes of black and white.
hrere is another example of Conservative Logic that is superficial and Slow spouts all the time -- If you make responsible decisions and put effort into achieving you will succeed, this is something anyone in America can do regardless of race, skin color, sex, religion, etc.
