I don't think that is right. Unless "free market" is code for anarchy.

Even libertarians would claim that protecting property rights is the province of the state. Opposing illegal immigration is a natural extension of that.

Immigration does not affect my property rights, except that it does make my property more valuable by increasing demand for it.

That is a stupid idea, liberties are inherent as long as they are protected, if they are no protected they can be taken away at any whim. Let's say the state doesn't exist and i want to dump shit in your drinking water, what the hell are you going to do about it? I've just bought the rights to do that from another land owner.

You can never buy the right to shit on another's property without their consent unless a state could "protect" your "right" to do so.

Liberties are inherent. We are born with the right to free speech, all the state can do is make one regret he said so.
Liberties can only be taken away, never granted.

"Every Man has a Property in his own Person. This no Body has any Right to but himself. The Labour of his Body, and the Work of his Hands, we may say, are properly his."- John Locke

So based on the history of this OP, how long before he is proven completely wrong and abandons his own thread? Or has this already happened, I tend to zone out within a few seconds of reading one of his fucktarded rants.

I think he mentally checks out before hitting the post button, hence the low quality of his threads.

low quality because of the amount of douchbag trolling by the likes of you.

That's the SOP for the left around here, shoot down destianting views, label everyone that's not a flaming liberal a troll.

and as an FYI, I based my post on the information from the Washington times, why don't you guys go troll them that their reporting is bad?

still don't know the official boundary lines so who knows where the boarder will be.

Still doesn't make sense to have an area we cannot patrol so close to a boarder that millions of illegals use.

Obama and Mexico were in the closet making babies, and I saw one of the babies, and then the baby looked at me.

Its protecting the communal property rights of the US. Or are you fine with trespassers?

It also decreases the value of unskilled labor. But hey fuck poor people I guess.

Does Obama really need to work at this? Seems like a situation where it is naturally unsecure.

An anti immigration stance (ie a border wall, "illegal" immigrants, etc) is inconsistent with free market philosophy and non-statist liberty in general.

Funny how so many don't understand this.

A country erects walls to keep people in. Or to keep people out to preserve its statism, usually welfare state. Norway, Sweden ect have strict immigration policy. Because the welfare state demands it.

And the common complaint in this country about illegal immigrants is their drag on, *drumb roll*, our welfare state! So what is the response by many on the right who are so called "free market" thinkers? Use the state to artificially restrict the flow of human capital.

I would say that non-statist liberty is an oxymoron in today's world, your liberties are protected by the state.

lol really? Why is it there is so much news about the state crushing our liberties? Spying, oppression, racial profiling ect?

They don't understand it because it is complete bullshit. You seem to be redefining "statist" to mean "not-anarchy".

I mean by the definition of statist you are using laws against murder are statist. Hard to have a welfare state if everyone is getting stabbed.

Murder is taking another's liberty. I don't know many non-statists who would support that. I am not even sure if anarchists except for pyschopaths would support that either.

On immigration? What is the problem with making it easier to become a citizen of this country? What scares you about that? More importantly. Why do you want to empower the state you hate and fear so much to do it for you?

Preventing me from stabbing people that piss me off is taking away my liberty.

Simple. Why do people want US citizenship? Because it is considered valuable right?

If you start giving something away it becomes less valuable.

More importantly. Why do you want to empower the state you hate and fear so much to do it for you?

Because vigilantism is normally considered bad. I guess we could just go to a truly free state and let individuals sit on the border and shoot people illegally crossing. Castle Doctrine on a national scale!

Hardly, this country was founded on immigration. You think the millions that came over from Europe diluted the value of citizenship in this country? Besides if you are so worried about the value of citizenship. Wouldn't you want the free market to determine that? In what other markets are you also for the govt setting the price of a good?

Yeah, that is the spirit. Shoot people wanting to come to our country and prosper. And I wonder why my side of the political spectrum has got a bad rap the last decade.

Not if I am living in a country with high valued citizenship.

Its pretty simple. Somalian citizenship is of low value. US citizenship is of high value. In a "free market" people would immigrate from Somalia to the US until such a time as Somalian and US citizenship have equal value(with Somalian becoming more valuable and US becoming less valuable).

You have no right to stab people. Why is that difficult for you to understand? You can piss people off. But the repercussions from that may not be desirable for you.

Ill remember this the next time you complain about our govt interjecting itself into a market and driving up costs.
