I am sure there are many Japanese-Americans from 1940s who would probably think differently about your judgement.

Yes, yes, yes. To all left wingers all Republicans are criminals, especially those that take military action. All wars iniated by Republicans are illegal, they all dont care about the poor, so on and so forth.

Do you see where Im comming from? I seriously disliked Carter and Clinton, but I know each had some policies that were beneficial and others that In my opinion were harmful. Can you can say the same thing about Reagan? Or are you going back to "all Republican presidents are criminals" mantra again.

nah, I don't think all were criminals. At least, I've never considered myself insane. I happen to think that the praise Reagan is given for his economic triumphs is blatantly undeserved; as many economists knew then, and is blatantly clear now when we see the real result of the policies he set in motion. Don't confuse me for a Michael Moore extreme leftist-type.

I just happen to think that his social failings, and what will be known (is already known to economists) as a supreme economic failing, far outweigh his achievements with a regime that was already collapsing internally. Don't get me wrong--he does deserve praise for forcing the issue with the Eastern Block, but I thought the conservative mantra was "care about home before you care about the rest?" Which is why is ability to dismantle the social and economic fabric of this country should be placed more in the forefront of his legacy.

I don't think Kennedy was any great shakes either, if you were wondering. He has that same sort of anti-critical balloon surrounding his legacy which is rather undeserved.

I also don't think Obama has done nearly enough to deserve this honor, or much if any praise. He has a lot of goals, sure, but I am one to give him the benefit of the doubt in terms of time and political wrangling. He wants a lot in perhaps too short of a time.

I wasn't so anti-Bush until he started pushing the Iraq debacle. That was, and should have been, a disaster for anyone that had any sort of faith in what this country is about.

I misspoke in implying FDR was the greatest ever. I meant to relate that to the statement that Reagan was the greatest ever--saying that not only was Reagan NOT the greatest of all time, he clearly wasn't the greatest of this century.

yes, non drug using heterosexual people can get and do get HIV. I know two women in our practice who got it from their adulterer husbands.
