What exactly was/is my intention?

Honestly, as I noted before, this feels like a troll thread if you ask me.

It's one thing to post facts, its another to twist them into an inflammatory post designed to bait people into responding. Looks like a troll thread to me.

See? Now I'm gonn'a have "volunteer" to email Matthews, Olberman, Maddow and Ed and convince them to "volunteer" to join ATPN as a way of giving back to our Nation in the spirit that Pres. Obama suggested.

And while I'm at it, I may as well ask O'Reilly, Hannity and Limbaugh to "volunteer" to resign and have their vocal chords surgically removed as a way to give back to the Nation in the same spirit that Pres. Obama suggested.

Never said you misrepresented them, just saying you twisted them to fit your inflammatory premise. Still sticking with the troll thread label.

Nope wasn't trying to be an ass just making sure the Obama voters do their part and not welch. Of course, I suspect no one will ever admit they voted for him and won't go to community service but thats just the way it is. People want their cake and eat it too.

What the fuck are you rambling about?

They are close, but not exact.

So, back to the question you asked yourself earlier, what exactly was the purpose of your thread? That is, other than to serve as flamebait?

I guess you are an Obama supporter. Seems like this thread ruffled your feathers a bit :p Maybe you should volunteer at the local soup shop or help care for the elderly. Whichever you choose I'm sure you'll serve your Obama proud!

If you had taken the time to read the thread, you would have seen the response I gave Deeko. To save you time I copied and pasted it for you :)

What a stupid ass this to say. So everyone who voted for Bush should join the army and fight in Iraq/Afghanistan?

Most of Obama voters and also McCain voters would want to do volunteer work. A huge percentage probably already do and a lot those who don't wish that they could but can't because of some reason or the other. Just because someone voted for Obama doesn't mean that he/she has to jump on everything he recomments/promotes. This is a good site for people to find information and volunteer. And that all it is.

Flaw #1: Did Bush ever mention during his first campaign anything about going to war with aphganistan/iraq?

No one can argue with what your saying . But the type of thing your talking about is a free choice decision. Charity is Wonderful Work. Forced labor is not. It seems also strange that we would talk about Charity. When I thought those Videos said much much more.

The idea of a civil police type force sounds good as long as government doesn't run it LOL!
3 months is more like indocritination to me than real Help effort . Like seeing which ones of our youth are easly hood winked.

No any Kind of YOUTH PROGRAM is out . Remember history. When your a youth play live . Adult life is not as good as youth . Learn but also learn to question. Let no man steal 1 moment of that time away. Youth lacks that wisdom . So we have to protect it for them!

I voted for him. I perform community service. I was doing it before he even became a U.S. Senator. Every single experience has been positive, I've met lots of people from backgrounds completely different from my own. The experiences helped me to mature, and I even became good friends with my wife during one of them. (We had previously met).

This thread was clearly created to fish for flames, despite what you may be saying now. You have no interest in helping people find volunteer opportunities, you are merely concerned with trying to make an absurd point that frankly doesn't make any sense.

It's absolutely hilarious that the right rails on and on about "personal responsibility" yet have the audacity to mock efforts to get people to invest time into their community. You guys need to a dose of reality because you look like total hacks.

This website has nothing to do with "mandatory service," and last I checked the only mandatory service thing Obama supported was $4000 for college tuition in exchange for 40 hours of community service. What exactly is the problem with that again?

The reason this thread is flamebait trolling crap is because the OP has suggested, indirectly, that there is a mandatory enforcement. He then asserts that all voters of said party MUST sign up and do Obama's bidding, which is pure crap.

Voluntary work = not new, not invented by Obama.

Voluntary program = not mandatory, merely a suggestion for people kind hearted enough to care for others.

This thread = worthless troll thread.

Lock it up, please.

Another Obama worshipper whining, get a life.

Where did I suggest it was mandatory? Sorry buddy boy, but if you haven't signed up for service you are doing your leader a great disservice and are dishonest with yourself as well as others.

Obama ran on "change" and part of that change is service, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Do your part and sign up or shut up.

Like I said before and it holds true, no one will admit they voted for him and are not performing service.

What if you voted for Mr Obama because:

1. You did not want another neo-con running US foreign policy.

2. You did not want a person who supports the Religious Right agenda to determine domestic policies and choose two or three US Supreme Court Justices.

3. You did not want Ms Palin to be vice president.

4. Joe the Plumber, Karl Rove, etc

5. You want someone in the White House who will choose qualified people to run the government. Anyone remember Mr Bush's AG and head of FEMA?

6. You thought that the GOP's Supply Side economic plan needed to be moderated.
