Too early to call, both are still promising. Being a moderate I'll wait until the primaries are over and Romney stops pandering to his base.

They will both fuck you be sure of that as they are 100% establishment. Meaning same wall street bailouts, same wars, same hand outs to rags and riches etc... there is not a dimes worth of difference cept I get to call Romney WhiteObama and toss BlackBush. So I pick Romney just to change my vocabulary.

I defend some flip flopping for the right reasons, but Romney is the worst flip flopper I know of in modern times for the wrong reasons (probably topping even McCain).

He comes across to me as generally a terrible candidate who will say anything to get elected - but funny enough, does seem to rarely take a better stand.

After selling out his own health care plan, he actually did say something very slightly in favor of addressing global climate change. President? He has only the 'looks'.

You don't seem to understand, Politifact is only relevant, accurate or factual when it's applied to conservatives. It has no basis in truth when it's applied to those on the political left.

As usual, another righty with whiny lies.

The GOP sounds like the old John Birch Society with a bit of the American Nazi Party thrown in. Mr Trump became a hot thing with the GOP by voicing the Birther Obama fantasies. The GOP continues to rock the fear of the others with attacks on Muslims, welfare queens, labor unions, homosexuals, "illegals", etc. Their efforts to overturn the New Deal would lead to the US economy falling into a 1930's type economic depression. Their efforts to screw Mr Obama could push the US economy into a double dip recession.

Over the last 30 years of the Reagan Era the GOP's mantra lower taxes and no regulations have led the US into needing to cut education funding, medicare, and SS.

So who would I choose between Mr Obama and Mr Romney?

Obama.

I'm a fan of divided government. with the GOP poised to potentially take the Senate in 2012 and keep the House, there's virtually no Republican that I'd consider voting for.

the only one who comes close is Huntsman.

in reality, since I live in NJ and my vote doesn't matter, I'll probably end up voting for an anti-war third party candidate.

Neither.

Obama is a disgrace, but he's your disgrace. I will not follow suit with another Bush / McCain and anyone voting Romney is doing exactly that. He's a betrayer of conservatism no less than they were.

I would rather see Obama reelected in hopes of destroying the GOP, than to see it continue to live on while corrupted. Neocons need to end here. No more lies, wars, and deficit spending on their watch.

If the GOP wants to be worthy of its own survival, it needs to stand on principle and lead the charge for conservatism. McCain shouldn't even hold a seat, and Romney should be nothing more than a washed up hallow suit that nobody listens to let alone nominates.

Obama and Romney are both plutonic to conservatism. Neither is the ONLY answer.

I agree 100%. The Republicans deserve nothing other than to lose if they nominate Romney and if they do nominate Romney, then I hope Obama beats Romney.

I ultimately hate McCain more than I hate Obama for wasting the GOP nomination in 2008.

With the current state of the GOP there's virtually no chance I will vote for a Republican again in the foreseeable future no matter how much I may like (or at least find tolerable) a particular candidate. As a party they have lost all benefit of the doubt from me.
