I'm pretty sure I recall you slapping people down here whenever they would blame Clinton and the "inherited mess" he left. At some point Obama will have to take ownership of the mess, it comes with the job.

I certainly approve of my competitors' leadership when they are spiraling into the ground. 😀

Honestly I think we can read too much into these numbers. Reagan had pretty much the same experience when he took over under the abysmal conditions Carter left. His numbers weren't as low, but in some ways times weren't as bad then. If the economy significantly rebounds, Obama will accrue the credit. If it does not, he will get the blame. This is regardless of whether he has actually hurt or helped, it's just the way we Americans think, that the President runs the country.
