Obama is paying the price for our nation having a high percentage of idiot citizens.

Starting with you Craig, starting with you.

Careful our you will get a PM like the one in my sig

Isn't making a PM public a no no????

There's an entire thread here somewhere with examples of his tantrum PM's.

It is amusing that the lefties think that the Republicans are unified in some sort of conservative coalition to oppose anything the Democrats oppose, no matter what.

It shows just how out of touch the left is.

The GOP...unified?

That's a good one.

They are unified in kind...complete anti-American assholes

Judging by the polls, more and more Americans are considering Obama's policies and actions to be anti-American.

Considering that he hasn't really done much of anything yet and nothing that he has done has been measurable yet, I think that this shows more of the gullibility of the average person than anything else.

You need to give credit where credit is due. He did win the Nobel Prize. Didn't he also kill a fly on national TV? ()🙂

His war on banks is going to backfire. He tried that crap in MA, and he's spewing it in OH today.

He hasn't figured it out the people don't like his war on banks. But by all means, keep it up.

I wouldn't get too excited if I were a rightie.

But Republicans still will fight against another set of numbers: the large number of voters who simply don’t like the brand the GOP is selling. The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found only 30 percent of those surveyed had a favorable view of Republicans. That is 8 percentage points lower than the favorability rating for Democrats. And 22 points lower than Obama’s.

And voters also still don’t trust Republicans with big decisions. A recent Washington Post poll found 24 percent trusted congressional Republicans to make the right decisions for the country — 8 points fewer than Democrats and 23 points fewer than Obama.

But a major improvement here:
Perceptions of U.S. leadership worldwide improved significantly from 2008 to 2009. The U.S.-Global Leadership Project, a partnership between the Meridian International Center and Gallup, finds that a median of 51% of the world approves of the job performance of the current leadership of the U.S., up from a median of 34% in 2008.

Who cares. We spend too much time worrying about what other people think of our leadership. Likewise other people spend too much time worrying about ours.

Considering the mess this country is in economically and the lack of patience from the electorate I'm surprised it's that high. Maybe they do understand he inherited a mess that's going to take time to fix.

I'm pretty sure I recall you slapping people down here whenever they would blame Clinton and the "inherited mess" he left. At some point Obama will have to take ownership of the mess, it comes with the job.

I certainly approve of my competitors' leadership when they are spiraling into the ground. 😀

Honestly I think we can read too much into these numbers. Reagan had pretty much the same experience when he took over under the abysmal conditions Carter left. His numbers weren't as low, but in some ways times weren't as bad then. If the economy significantly rebounds, Obama will accrue the credit. If it does not, he will get the blame. This is regardless of whether he has actually hurt or helped, it's just the way we Americans think, that the President runs the country.
