Since when is chinamen a racist term?

would u agree that it is a derogatory term?
I never thought of it as such. I always thought it was funny when someone used the term, but I don't see how it's offensive.

And the song wasn't funny. I mean, if the song were funny, I would have laughed, cause it's funny. But the song wasn't even worth my bandwidth + 6 minutes.

Honestly, from reading some of the stuff you've said the in the past, you are quite ignorant.

in my experience, the term "chinaman" is usually used in a derogatory way. how do u not see it as a derogatory term in the song lyrics?

In my opinion, "chinaman" is a derogatory term when it is used in a bad context or when people say it in a derogatory way. "beloved patriot," on the other hand, is more along the lines of the "n" word for African Ameicans.

I don't prefer the term Asian American, there are many fobs out there that I wouldn't call Asian American. I prefer to be called Asian (American), Oriental, or Chinese. My parents are from China and I was born in Minnesota. Or you can call me ABC just for kicks. I'm both Already Been Chewed and American Born Chinese 😛

Let's make a lynching pardoy song

I don't think that's funny cause then you're being just as racist as Miss Jones, plus not all African Americans are as insensitive as her and the other guy.

I'm sorry, do you need batteries for your sarcasm meter?

That station sucks ever since Star and Buck Wild left. Miss Jones is dumb as fsck. She really must have the IQ of Forrest Gump.

Are you serious, how sheltered can you be to not even consider the term racist?

I'm not going to listen to that song, but from what I've read in this thread... Damn, that is fucked up. Absolutely disgusting.

I'm black, BTW, since that seems to matter in this thread.

I changed my mind and listened. Those two DJs need to be shot. I'll volunteer to do it. Stupid fucking morons.

I did a search on "hot 97", "tsunami song" and came up with nothing; hopefully this is not a repost.

Article

Cliff notes: Black female morning show host starts arguing with asian female co-worker because asian female said she found the tsunami parody song to be offensive. They go ahead and play the song anyway which contains wornds such as "drowning chinks" "run chinamen"... Hot97 issues a weak apology afterwards.

Your cliff notes are longer than the 1 sentence post above it.

BTW-It's confirmed there is no shortage of stupid people in NYC.
