Haha, wow, I guess I see what AMD is trying to do from a marketing standpoint, but it comes off not as good-natured ribbing but petulant childishness. This isn't a college football game for goodness sake. I hope there aren't fights or any messiness of that sort... but it might make for some good laughs later on.

So go a call for loads of their strongest advocates are called to go to the nvidia celebrations, that's not so terrible, right.

But then they are asked to make sure they are wearing AMD shirts and to do something interesting and take a picture to post so AMD can see them. Amd will be looking thru the pics And the people with the more interesting pictures may get some 'love" as a reward.

Not all talk about you is good, or good for you. But, if they like people talking about how they look like they are begging for attention and doing this in poor taste then it is time for them to find new management in their marketing department.

Its just how AMD's viral marketing is meant to work. They mobilise their fan base to push their products whenever and where ever they want. Whether it be on social media, forums or Nvidia's events. In a lot of places they do it if the individuals involved get caught they get banned because its against the rules, indeed its kind of against the law in the USA as its mostly undeclared affiliation marketing. Being illegal is a big deal, while this is just an immature stunt if it goes badly (a fight is started for example) then it might be a very big deal.

I don't like this type of marketing, it causes a lot of problems.

OK, This discussion is no longer about Nvidia 24 and it seems that you guys appear to be more interested in the AMD negativity. I am closing this thread until further notice. The mods will be reviewing this thread to see if it even salvageable at this point.
