NutriBullet? Is it any good?

Has anyone tried the nutribullet, does it work or is it a scam? walmart sells this for $65 down from $100.

I saw somebody at the local supermarket purchasing a lot of fruits and vegetables for his nutribullet.

The guy told me he spends $50 a week on fruits and vegetables so that he can make daily nutri blasts.

My question is this? Wouldn't eating all these fruits and vegetables cause you to be in the bathroom alot?

I have a nutribullet. I think it's great. I make two nutriblast a day, and I get my drink ideas from the book that is supplied with nutribullet.

The fiber can be a bit much for someone who is just starting, so I would suggest that you drink one a day. Your body isn't going to be used to all the fiber so it might cause a lot of bathroom breaks. IMO, this is a good thing. Once your body adjust you should be able to drink nutriblast 2 or more times a day if you prefer.

Depends on what you expect from it. It's a blender, nothing more. Does it work as a blender? Sure. Will it do something other blenders don't do? No. Is a "nutriblast" somehow different from tossing the same ingredients in an ordinary blender to create a shake or a smoothie? Don't be ridiculous.

Not true. Blenders tend to get hot which destroys the fruits or vegetables nutrients. The nutribullet doesn't get that hot so the nutrients don't get lost.

A blender is a blender. I never noticed them getting hot, whatever that means. Did you get that marketing speak from the infomercial?

What temperature does the magic bullet blend at? What temperature does a regular blender blend at? At what temperature do what vitamins break down?

Without answering these questions, it's all a bunch of nonsense. A nutribullet may be a convenient size for some people. It's compact, and blends a small amount of stuff. The key being a "small amount of stuff". If you want to do anything more, it'll be frustrating cause you have to do batches.

Completely untrue. We got a Nutribullet for Christmas, and I normally hate those "infomercial gadgets", but this thing rocks! We keep it on the counter and use it everyday. I throw a container if no-carb yogurt, a couple of strawberries and blueberries, and some flax seed and and bit of water in mine every morning, blend it for about 3 seconds, and have an instant breakfast.

It is blender-like, but it's more of a food processor combined with a blender:

-the blade screws right onto your cups, meaning it cleans up in seconds rather than the pain-in-the-ass it is to clean a blender.
-It purees things at super high speed, faster and better than any blender I've ever used (only of those Ninja blenders might be close)
-the serving cups rock- if you can't finish something you just put one of the included lids on it and stick in in the fridge
-The mulling blade it comes with is great of chopping nuts or making breading

I can't stress enough the design- the fact that the blades are actually built into the caps means it cleans up with just a 5 second rinse under the faucet. That's the biggest plus over a blender or a food processor.

I truthfully can not find a fault with the Nutribullet. I've been recommending them to my friends too. Best $100 that was spent in a long time.

Actually its more that the blade oxidizes the juice made so you have to consume it immediately.

If someone wants to be seriously about juicing (especially greens juicing) a bladeless juicer like an Omega can produce juice you can store for 36 hours.

Some of the guys I work with are big on this, and aparantly the blender DOES matter. I don't know if it's true or not, I'd really like to know the science behind it, but basically you want a "masticating" juicer, and not a regular blender. Not sure if even the bullet is acceptable for their use, they went out and bought these really expensive ones. I think it has to do with the way it alters the cell structure of the fruits, but it could all be some voodoo BS too, I don't know.

My blender's ginormous, hard to clean and loud as hell. My roomies Nutribullet might only be able to make a lot smaller amounts of shit. But it's compact, stupid easy to clean and cost half of what my Kitchenaid one did. And it works probably as well.

I wish I had gotten a Nutribullet. I don't see what all the fighting here's about, yeah it is a blender. But it's a pretty damn good one.

For me it was about effectiveness and ease of cleaning. It blends better than the regular blender I had. Things came out more smooth, and texture for me was important. It's also much easier to clean. But it basically boils down to personal preference I guess.

Fine, if it's easier to clean then it's easier to clean. I never disputed that. I disputed the idiotic notion that it's something MORE than a blender. It's not. The foods do not come out different or smoother or better for you. The come out blended. Inventing a new name for a smoothie doesn't change a smoothie into something else. It's still a smoothie and the nutrition is not enhanced by calling it a nutriblast.

I have a small blender I bought from GNC for about $35 that also blends into presupplied cups. I really like it and the ease of use, especially to clean means I use it a lot more.

It still is a blender.

I certainly would not have paid $100 for it.

You can buy tons of different brands that offer what this blender does. Now if you're arguing that this brand offers exceptional quality product for the price, that's different from the stupid BS some people are saying in conjunction with this.
