That's what distinguishes it from a blender. It's mostly the really smart design that makes it more useful. We leave ours on the counter and I make my morning protein shake in it. Then the kids come home and load up on fruit and yogurt smoothies.

Yeah I like the design quite a bit. At first the more critical side of me kept telling her its nothing but an overpriced blender but after a couple weeks with it I think it is great. There is a little "hocus-pocus" in the recipe book with some vague claims but I just ignore that. I'm going to start sticking some kale in my smoothies to get more vegetables in my diet.

How well does it chop up Kale? My crappy blender doesn't do the best job at kale and it'll get stuck in my teeth. Probably the only veggie I've had an issue with.

It pretty much liquefies anything leafy. I use spinach myself.

I have one. Use it more for my smoothies though. Love that the consistency is super smooth even with berries and adding whole flax seeds. I've yet to try veggie stuff. I debated between this and the Ninja system that has the single serving canisters but I already have a blender with a food processor attachment and figured the NutriBullet is small enough to keep on the counter.

Consistency between our current blender and NutriBullet is night and day though. If I had a better blender I probably wouldn't have got the NutriBullet but it'd be hard to convince the fiance to shell out $350 for a Vitamix or Blendtec unless the old one broke. No objections to $90 for the NutriBullet though.
