Ns1 liveblog: Five Guys Burgers result: FAIL

Will they overcook a burger if you ask for it? I went there a few times and their burgers were too soft for me; felt undercooked (tasted fine).

They won't do anything except overcook a burger no matter how you ask for it. They will only serve their burgers well-done, the reason it felt wrong because it's 4th-rate shit beef. That's why they overcook it, it's so bad they can't serve it medium-rare.

Your post conflicts with mine entirely.

Be sure you get cajun seasoning on the fries!

I don't understand how people can dislike a Five Guys burger though. It really blows my mind and makes me expect that if I were to fly out to Cali that my experience with an In N Out burger would be one much like entering heaven.

That reminds me, I'll be spending 3 hours in LAX in a couple of months. Please tell me they have an InO at the airport???

Lololol peanuts everywhere. Shit is cooked in peanut oil. Fresh peanuts to snack on. Peanut shells everywhere.

Gf has peanut allergy. Were leaving. Lol

Five guys is overrated IMHO.

The one time I went there it was meh. Definitely better than McD's or most fast food, but not worth the cost. I rarely eat hamburgers so when I do, I either get crap from cheap fast food places or make my own. Five guys might be great for some people, but I equate it to McD's/BK/Wendy's/etc as I equate Chipotle to Taco Bell. Although, Chipotle has guac and thus is automatically better.

Ha this is the worst knock on Five Guys I've ever read.... or is it the best? The peanuts win!

I'm originally from Cali. I think In N Out is slightly better. But Five Guys is pretty close, albeit slightly different, to InO. It's the closest in terms of "style" you will get to InO on the East Coast, but after a while you realize there are a lot of differences. I think they are different and the Five Guys is my favorite burger in NYC.

I still try to get In N Out every time I fly back to the West. Last time I went to Vegas I had the cabbie stop by In n Out on the way to the hotel from the airport. And the same thing again on the way back.

Uh, unless she has a really severe allergy to peanuts I doubt it'll hurt her. I am allergic to peanuts as well and the food that I've eaten from Five Guys has never given me any problems.

I just got a Five Guys in my town about 2 months ago. I like it quite a bit but prefer In N Out. Five Guys wins with their fries since In N Out doesn't have cajun style but their burgers remind me of Burger King.
