Are they ever going to put classic Looney Tunes on bluray?
Oh man, hopefully soon. That would be an awesome spectacle.

The Hit - 8.5/10: 1984 film about a gangster (Terence Stamp) who rats out his cohorts, goes into hiding in Spain, then gets captured and is taken on a road trip back to the guy that wants him. First off Stamp is freaking awesome as Willie Parker; he's smart, witty, and brings an awesome attitude to the film, but it also has a great performance from John Hurt and it also has Tim Roth's feature debut (one of my favourite actors; he looks like a kid in this). There is very little to dislike in this film; my only real complaint is something that happens near the end that seemed unbelievable and left me a bit annoyed, but otherwise it was very good with three very strong performances.
I just watched this, and I agree with everything you said. I think I know what part near the end you are talking about, and I didn't really like it much either. I would rate it an 8/10.
I'm usually not a big Tim Roth fan, I know he has some die hards, but I really liked him in this. Hurt was great and so was Stamp.

Apollo 18 - 2/10
"Found" footage is unearthed of secret classified Apollo 18 depicting man's last trip to the moon and the reason why we never went back. Lots could be done with this premise; a failure of technology, claustrophobia in an enclosed space, trapped alone, fear of never returning. Instead we get a movie with a threadbare plot and no redeeming features. After a while, I just couldn't wait for the movie to be over.
If I had to use one word to describe this movie, it would be horrible. I try to see a movie a week at the theater and this was the only clunker that I've seen this summer.
Cool, glad you liked it. Stamp is amazing in this; loved his attitude.I absolutely hated that John Hurt did not kill the chick near the end. I guess we were supposed to think he had softened and took a liking to her, but it still seemed out of character to me since he was tying up ever other loose end.
I agree. I don't really remember, but I assume the girl somehow knew where he would be crossing the border? otherwise, her seeing him like that at the end was even worse than letting her live in the first place. I also didn't like how Stamp's character changes up his attitude right at the end, because he was awesome before that.
Where'd you see 50/50 btw? Quite early according to the release date
I'm going to plan on seeing Higher Ground this weekend. Considering Contagion as well. Looks alright, and even if not, Marion Cottillard![]()
Hanna- 7/10
Decent storyline (although it has been done before in many ways). Well cast for the most part although I didn't totally buy Cate Blanchette as CIA ICE QUEEN. Flowed well for the most part, but did stumble here and there with some wtf moments and heavy-handed cinematography.
