Nothing is going to help Cuomo, he is screwed.

Serious question.
I haven't read through this this thread because 95% of you are less than intelligent and its not really worth the effort. OK, maybe I have three questions:
1. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
2. What happened to you that you can't support one of the very basic tenants of our government?
3. Other than your political affiliation, why the rush to judgement?

I have no dog in the fight. I am just curious as to when America crumbled and why no one gives a shit.

BRD is a standard for a criminal court. Not the court of public opinion, which, in the end, is what matters when it comes to the conduct of an elected official.

Man, it's almost like when new information came to light, he was held accountable!
No, it was when democrats finally grew a spine when they realized Cuomo was mortally wounded politically, before that they were too chickenshit to stand up against him even though many in his own party despised him.

Everyone is scared of Cuomo. A few years ago, I interviewed another powerful New York politician who, in passing, mentioned an earlier conflict with Cuomo. Half an hour after she left, she called to plead that a story not mention that she said anything about the conflict — for fear of antagonizing him again. Mayor Bill de Blasio has stayed neutral in the governor’s race because, as Nixon accurately said on AM to DM Monday, Cuomo is “notoriously vindictive.”

Its interesting that a member, best known for a running joke about them running a rape dungeon is wondering why a politician willingly stepped down, going "you are all fucking idiots, but why is this guy being so persecuted, he's innocent!!! Where's my 'Merica?"

Ah, boomers never change, they really just can't understand people not being ok with people committing sexual harassment and sexual assault. Why gee, back in their day they got sexually assaulted while walking both ways uphill in 15 feet of snow! And by golly they learned to enjoy it! Its really a compliment.

Its always cute when the snowflakes that can't handle any discourse dip their toes in and immediately admit they can't handle it but then bitch its because everyone is dumber than they are, while also straight up admitting that they're dumber and then expect people to answer them seriously without criticism.

She proclaims to be far left.

The reality - of course - is mainstream center lefty as usual.

Say what? Challenge the status quo speaker and demand accountability from her? NAwwww!

DEFUND THE POLICE!!!!! (brb, passing $2 BILLION DOLLAR bill to fund the capital police).

Ohhhhhhh the iron kneeeee
You should probably stop using the "defund the police" in any of your Reponses until you actually understand what is meant by those words. It isn't what you think, which you probably already know. But as usual you have to manipulate shit and troll your way around every conversation.

Given that the phrase is so easily misunderstood, perhaps it was a bad idea to ever use it, eh?

One of the world's most valuable companies does not need tax incentives to setup an office.

Bezos could personally build 90 Amazon HQ2s and still be a fucking billionaire.

Tax incentives are a race to the bottom. The only winning move is for everyone (governments) to not play. Witness the remarkable work done in Wisconsin. Oh wait, it failed miserably and foxconn did absolutely fuck all

In terms of money, Amazon and Bezos are two different entities. Only a retarded CEO of a publicly traded company would have the company bank account and their private bank account as the same.

Of course. My point is that amazon as a company, and Bezos as an individual, have such vast sums of money that tax incentives are pointless for them in meaningful manner. It's just more profit, and nothing to do with "will this deal be the difference between them being able to build a facility or not one at all".

As opposed to say, small business incentives where every little bit of support can be the difference between a business starting (or staying open) and failing.

But according to the Washington Post, if the project had gone thru with tax incentives, New York could have been in a profit of at least $27 billion. That profit would have come from taxes of new people moving into NYC for the new jobs that would have come from Amazon.

I have no nits to pick with De Blasio's projection of profits, but Marc Theissan, a Trump supporter, needs to pay careful attention to the irony of his headlines.

He's not fucking Trump!!!
Things common between Trump and Cuomo:
*Both have faced sexual assault allegations.
*Both wished to start a political dynasty.
*Both ended up killing numerous people in a pandemic. (Cuomo nursing home scandal)
*Both tried their best to show their crime as a simple mistake or misunderstanding.
*Both used government funds for their own use. (Cuomo's book)
*Both were born in a high power family.
*Both have some form of connection with a media source. (I read some where that Trump org has some % stake in either NewsMax or OANN, don't remember exact details).
*Both have been threatened for an impeachment proceeding.
*Both have faced allegations of multiple scandals.

He won't face impeachment because he's already resigned / about to leave office.
The Dems sure didn't want to use that reasoning on Trump, who had already left office.
Nothing hypocritical here, no siree. This just shows that to impeach or not impeach is based on partisan politics, not the action, depending on what letter of the alphabet is in front of the name. Hypocrisy, in other words.

Are you fucking stupid? Trump WAS impeached BEFORE he left office, which was 100% about his actions. Or do you not understand how impeachment works and how he's impeached in the House and tried in the Senate? It appears that it eludes you that Trump's impeachment, where only the trial in the Senate was held after he left office, was ALL about the Action.

Now, Do you seriously think sexual assault by a state government official is an equal crime to the President's treasonous acts of leading an insurrection/an attempt to over throw the federal government and/or harm/kill our Congress members all to keep himself in power? Don't get me wrong, sexual assault is a serious crime, but not to the level of what Trump did when you put it all into the proper perspective of our government and country. Yet, Trump still hasn't been criminally charged for the shit he did... Cuomo will be charged criminally for what he did.

I believe Cuomo should still be impeached to keep him from ever holding office again.. But you are a fucking idiot beyond words if you think there is any comparison between what's going on with Cuomo and what happen with Trump. Oh wait.. you are one of the treasonous fucks who support Trump.... I forgot!

How about you grow a pair and start being truthful with facts you lying piece of shit.

Despite being clearly less intelligent than you I for one realize that innocent until proven guilty only applies to criminal trials and impeachment is a political, not criminal process.

I am also aware that this issue started 8 months ago, so I’m not sure on what planet an 8 month wait is a rush to judgment.

Maybe you can enlighten us.

Trump was impeached by the house while in office and then the senate majority leader deliberately chose to delay the trial until he was out of office.

Funny how often hypocrisy by other people turns out to be you just not knowing what you’re talking about.
