Girlfriend and I saw Sandler's new movie Jack and Jill last night. Was the first movie in a long time where my girlfriend and I actually couldn't bear to sit and watch till the end, and walked out of the theater after the first hour. I see another Razzie award in Sandler's trophy case for this train-wreck of a movie. How bad was it? If I was watching the movie on my TV at home, I'd get up and leave my own house!

You would think that when he plays a difference character, he would at least change the voice a bit. But no. He still uses the exact same silly character voice that he uses in all his movies, going all the way back to his SNL days.

Wait, I just had a brilliant idea. Have Adam Sandler make the movie about Steve Jobs. Then rcpratt will stab Sandler and we can end up with a live action version of Code Monkeys.

Not only that, but you don't even interject some lie about getting free tickets to justify it, you actually paid to go see it. What in the hell? Did you know nothing about it? Did you not see any of the preview trailers? Nor any of the people decrying it? I think it's been joked about on several other current shows as well. Then to top it off, you didn't at some point in the process of picking it, paying for the ticket, and then walking into the theater to see it, and not think, wait, WTF am I doing? You actually watched an hour of it before you finally relented? May the universe take mercy on your poor pathetic existence for you certainly take none of your own.

OP, you seriously decided to pay to see a movie that had a 4% Rotten Tomatoes rating?
Even the RT audience rating of 53% would tell me not to go.
Plus I actually saw a couple of trailers and decided that this was going to stink.
Our society is really desperate for entertainment if that crappy movie grossed $26M already.

I blame people like you and your gf for paying to see it... that is why he keeps at it.

epic fail on the logic there bud. So, by your logic, if you pay for a meal at a restaurant and it's utter crap, you have no right to complain because you made a conscious choice to pay for it? lol. Ok.

And yet...you went to see it in the theater. I don't even watch comedies in the theater that I think might be good, why did you go see one that obviously was going to be awful? I mean, he's had maybe one movie that broke the format of all his others so its pretty obvious what an Adam Sandler movie is going to be before you even hear the title.

You're right, I left out the part where the movie was universally hated by everyone except 13-year-olds and the trailers made it really obvious that it was a piece of crap.
It's one thing to be hoodwinked by middling-to-good reviews and a slick trailer, but I don't see how anyone could possibly think that movie was good unless you never look at reviews or see trailers.

People always complain about actors doing movies like this but all you need to do is look at the figure a member above posted. $26M at the box office so far. Everyone was on Eddie Murphy when he was doing all of his kid movies/nutty professor/crappy films. He was making bank. I'll act like an ass on film if I'm making that kind of coin. 🙂
He'll keep making them so long as morans keep paying to see them. I like some of his earlier movies, but the last few have looked absolutely terrible.
