I knew this movie was going to suck the moment I saw a trailer for it. It just looks horrible.

There is a zero point zero chance of me paying money to see this movie.

YOU MADE A CONSCIOUS CHOICE TO PAY TO SEE THE MOVIE. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN.

caps

THIS!!! 1000X THIS!!

epic fail on the logic there bud. So, by your logic, if you pay for a meal at a restaurant and it's utter crap, you have no right to complain because you made a conscious choice to pay for it? lol. Ok.

Yes. If you order something on the menu that says "Shit Steak" and then wonder why its shit, then yes its your fault. Why would you order something that you know you're not going to like?

Its the same thing with this movie. If you could sit down and simply watch the trailer for this movie on IMDB or anywhere else, and not know that it was going to be utter shit - then you deserve to sit through the utter shit that is this shit. OP deserves what he got.

Not to mention Adam Sandler's track record over the last several years. If you had seen one of his shitty movies over this shitty stretch you would know that this one was going to be shitty without even watching a trailer.

OP even admitted that he knew Adam received a razzie recently, so its not like he didn't know how shitty this movie was going to be.

OP is the reason Adam Sandler is still making movies and he doesn't see the irony?

Please.

Happy Gilmore was mildly funny.
Billy Madison was slightly funny.

Everything else has been pure dog shit.

LOL- a movie reviewer on a local TV broadcast reviewed it as:

"Today's movie review is on Jack and Jill. I'll make this short: Adam...stop. Just stop."

...and that was the whole segment :D

Never been a huge fan of SNL actors aside from a very scant few (Tina Fey and . . . well, that's about it off the top of my head); but I make a point to avoid stupid movies like this and if I was stupid enough into getting roped in on watching a crap movie and voluntarily paying for this, I certainly would not show my gross, rampant idiocy to the world via an anonymous web forum.

TL;DR - OP is a moron.

Wow, I take back my last comment, I guess his career isn't over. I guess he can just focus on cheesy kid movies and still make some serious coin.

It got some bad reviews though.

When you include the fact that the movie had a $79 million budget, it could still likely be a flop. Sandler keeps making movies because he had more commercial successes than flops (God knows how or why). Just skimming Wikipedia, the last biggest failure was Little Nicky, and there was more than enough made in subsequent movies to cover it. I don't see him considering quitting movies until he has another 3-5 of these.

The last semi-decent movie I saw of his was Click (watched in-house with a friend), and I wouldn't go out of my way to buy that or any other Sandler movie. But really, anyone who saw that Jack and Jill preview and thought it would be worth paying for a ticket deserved to get ripped off.

I don't think such a thing exists.

I've never done it, but my wife told me she did it once more than 10 yrs ago with her friend because there was too much sex in the movie, though she does not remember what movie it was.

I suppose there are situations where you might be able to demand a refund, like taking your kids to watch a pg13 movie and you strongly feel like the content is more like R-rated, or the theme of the movie offend your religious belief and it was not mentioned in the trailer or preview. I guess a comedy that is not funny enough is not a strong enough reason. And unlike more than 10 yrs ago, today there are a lot more reviews you can easily find online.

His last decent comedy was Big Daddy, maybe 50 First Dates. Click was OK for what it was, but not really much of a comedy.

Girlfriend and I saw Sandler's new movie Jack and Jill last night. Was the first movie in a long time where my girlfriend and I actually couldn't bear to sit and watch till the end, and walked out of the theater after the first hour. I see another Razzie award in Sandler's trophy case for this train-wreck of a movie. How bad was it? If I was watching the movie on my TV at home, I'd get up and leave my own house!

OK. so who's fault was that? Sandler? I don't think so.

I've never been an Adam Sandler fan...nor a Will Ferrell fan.

There's just something about their brand of "big-mouth comedy" that doesn't appeal to me.
I'd rather have a root canal than sit through any Will Ferrell movie.

Ever seen 'Stranger Than Fiction'? Great movie and not a typical Will Ferrell movie

Sounds like YOU are the problem. The studios wouldn't be giving Sandler $20m to make movies if people like you didn't go to watch.

Okay, gather 'round all you ATOT tykes and get some advice from Uncle KGB: STOP BEING FUCKIN' IDIOTS!

Yes, you can walk out part way through a film and demand your money back. The cut-off point is customarily about half way through AND you do not need some lame excuse (too much/not enough sex/violence etc.). Just tell them it SUCKED and stand your ground. If more people did this, perhaps fewer shitty films would get made.

If you go to a restaurant, ... a REAL restaurant... not the kind where you give your food order to a clown head or a giant rat but rather one that has real menus and waiters 'n shit and get a shitty meal, do you have them take it back? If not, ... why not?

I don't agree on 'Click' I thought that movie was terrible, I haven't seen 'Shakes the clown' but the rest of these are mostly accurate
