*** Not Onion** Trump does a very very good thing

Insulin prices have long caused serious issues with type 1 diabetics, causing unneeded bodily damage and even death due to costs. In the diabetic community there is a thing called insulin rationing, which means diabetics ration their insulin so they only take 1/4-/13 of needed amounts. As a type 1 diabetic, I applaud this.

Seema Verma, who heads the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said plans that offer the insulin cap will have more expensive premiums, costing about $17 more per month than the average cost of basic plans.

Gub'mint helps you, it's not the Devils Socialism.

Got it.

So what's his angle?

No way he did this just to be a good person.

-It only helps his voting base. Plenty of much younger type 1 diabetics that this will not help at all, since this is all medicare based, but they weren't going to vote for him anyway so *shrug*.

That being said, never let good be the enemy of perfect.

Even then 35 dollars for the insulin per month plus 17 dollars increase in premiums is 52 dollars a month. Now compare that with the cost of insulin per month and it is still a much better deal than they have now.

Yep exactly. But this proposal doesn't help me so.... As long as the gubmint doesn't handle my health care.
Much better when corporate CEOs who have deals with the Pharmaceutrical Industry control your health care, right? No way they'd price gouge you at every step, because Deathcult Capitalists wouldn't let you die if it means more profits. Only ACA deathpanels do that.

You're a joke.

just an opinion with no basis in facts.

Yes because the government model of VA and Indian reservations are so successful. Is that honestly what you want for your family?

That's a yes or no answer.

The evidence indicates that the quality of care at the VA is comparable to that of regular US hospitals despite serving a far more challenging population so sure.

Since the system is publicly run it is more transparent than private hospitals so you hear more about its problems but I consider that a feature, not a bug.

If government health care doesn’t work then how do you explain this? Has this changed your mind?

You really consider Medicare to be an example?

lol
Medicare is a half-assed attempt, because the dogfuckers you carry water for won't allow smart people to implement many of the possible single payer/hybrid systems, because they make loads of cash off letting people suffer and die.
