My hope is:
1. That this was natural & not man-made
2. That we're hitting the peak of it & that it will slow down & go away
I really hope that we don't see a resurgence in the winter & don't see any of this next year. The 1918 Spanish flu lasted about a year, although per Wikipedia, "A report published in 2016 in the Journal of the Chinese Medical Association found evidence that the 1918 virus had been circulating in the European armies for months and possibly years before the 1918 pandemic." From what I've read so far, the earliest known case was in mid-November 2019. Hopefully this thing will just die off & go away & not be stuck with us for years
