Heh - apparently since so many people are having to stay home, I've read that places that do animal adoptions are practically empty.

Honestly, if you think you need a dog only after you're forced to stay home then you're probably going to be a piece of shit owner.

Humanity is probably safer if you do. ;)

lt's living contact that generally spreads diseases, though human contact is largely driven by consumption demands.

I'm certain China - the Chinese authorities - told a lot of lies about this outbreak. That's perfectly compatible with them also taking extreme measures to try and control it domestically when they realised they had to. The Chinese system encourages secrecy, and suppresses information, and also enables extreme collective action when decided upon.

People aren't inexplicably wicked just based on nationality, people respond to incentives in the context in which they find themselves.

It strikes me, incidentally, that some people seem to be skeptical of what the 'intelligence services' say when it's about China, while believing it when it's about Russia (and vise-versa)
This is why I hate politics in the first place. It's always us vs. them. One party vs. another. How many voted for Trump simply because he was a Republican? It's idiotic. We're slinging dirt at the opposition within our own country like 4 year olds at a playground.

We have issues. We must fix issues. Why are we talking about Russia now? It could be a video of Nigeria I posted and all I wanted to show from it is the extreme measures it would take to limit this spread. But will we do it? No? Don't go on to tell me why they have to do it. Don't tell me it's not possible. Fix us, then we won't have to worry about our egos, or comparisons and who's superior. In short, wake the F up, we suck at a lot of things.

Meanwhile in CA - (look like it is working hard to compete with FL)

Oh joy, in Bakersfield well geez glad i don't live there no more, i sorta live close and do go there but not planning on it again for a few weeks at the very least. I hate Bakersfield.

My home town of Riverside and its county is enforcing a $1,000 fine for not wearing masks, yeah waiting for that to be a thing here where i am. Just a matter of time before i buy a mask making me look like Bane. I got no issues cosplaying and having some damn fun with it.

Not kidding, if it becomes mandatory why not have fun with it? That one looks good :) The plain old N95 are so boring, i think if they could make some inspired by shows and movies people would go out of their way to prob wear cause they look so cool perhaps?

Give me a Darth Vader helmet with built in mask, i will wear that shit in a walmart not giving a damn.

Wow.

Four people shoot 94 rounds and only six people are hit and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

You would think someone would have been killed even if it was accidental.

See? Arnie's movies are based on reality. The bad guys really are that bad at shooting a gun.

I fired one gun in my life, a Ruger 9mm a few years ago in Arkansas at a shooting range. Cleared a few mags mainly hit the dirt. Not a single shot on the target not even by a mile. That is ok, i got a laugh watching this maybe 12 year old girl with her dad with what looked to be a GOL sniper rifle hitting her targets pin point every time.

Yeah about those 94 rounds, its like Pulp Fiction. If you seen the movie you get the reference.

its because your scared. prob flinching, 9mm is a little girls bullet, i carry a glock 33 with a laser, hitting with the regular sites or with laser is no problem at 12-15 yards small groups even tho 7 yards is the most common shoot out length

Yeah i was scared, that GOL or whatever and all the other booming? I heard this with earplugs wedged in my ears. The adrenaline of firing the gun made the hands shake too actually. I had gun fever honestly for a minute.

Honestly am ok at being a bad shot, i much prefer a weapon like Lucille if i had to use it. I like the idea of being a bit more personal. Guns to quick, if someone intends on bodily harm lets make sure i do more. I may bring a bat to a gun fight but i will go out trying at least....

Well everyone here has their own weapon, i haven't got it yet but its been sorta on my maybe get list. I like it more as a prop but if push came to shove..... yeah unless i get better with a gun idk. It came up with my friends recently and i mentioned the Ruger was like $250 at like walmart? May have been a few bucks more, was with friend when he got the gun and a safe and lock for it. Was back in 2018 so idk how the laws and the prices stick today? Being in California, not even sure what is legal and how. Would be for strictly home defense like under my bed in a lockbox/safe kinda deal perhaps.

Not buying without practice but i guess for practice i would need something wouldn't i?

Little girls, eh?

Look at these well known little girls -

The new 9mm round — known to gun aficionados as the 147 grain Speer Gold Dot G2 — is significantly more effective than what FBI agents carried into the field in 1986. According to Cook, the bullet has been rigorously tested and has received high marks in the FBI’s most important category for bullet selection: penetration.

Cook says that the lighter the bullet, the faster the gun can “drive” the round into the target. For the FBI, that translates into 12 to 18 inches of penetration into the human body. The 9mm’s weight, Cook added, also increases an agent’s accuracy in a gunfight, according to the findings of a 2014 FBI report that was leaked online last year.

Should we listen to the FBI and police agencies in the US and around the world or you? Tough choice.

May be a year off but yeah i asked if he could use one today he is like sure, its like a bike you never forget. I believe him. I guess a marksman could be with anything if given it?
