You're comments are very often pretty indecipherably cryptic. Flippant, off hand, assume a lot concerning what your reader might have read already, assuming that the reader knows what you're referencing without your bothering to be specific.

wow

Do you? Feeling better means he's changed symptomatically, not necessarily recovered.
if hes better hes not sick, hes not sneezing and coughing it up. the chances of him spreading something to everyone in the office are basically null especially given all the precautions people should be taking by now. ie: wash your hands.

You do know you can still spread a virus without coughing right?

Most people's definition of 'better' is 'I don't feel ill'. Not 'I've been tested and I'm cleared of the infection that caused me to be ill'.

If he has no symptoms hes not sick and should be allowed to return to work. A person can spread all sorts of diseases without coughing, that much is true for every single human being on the planet.

What I don't understand is the crazy high death rate from this virus in Italy vs South Korea. Italy has 463 deaths while SK has 53. I know Italy has lot of old people but so does South Korea. Is Italy medical care system that bad?

...that's generally fair, but Jesus effing christ: read the bolded part. It's the only thing that I quoted:

By weight? By volume? By moles? Do you even remember the aloe mole?

........
😀

that's total numbers. It's not the death rate.

Doesn't Italy have vastly more cases? I'm not looking at the numbers right now, but there is also the issue of accurate reporting. SK seems to be on their shit about testing, though, and I think Italy has ramped up only recently. I think a lot of what is going on is just the lag between incubation for this virus in certain regions and when testing becomes available, on top of how forcefully the country in question acts to contain it.

@zinfamous Brother from a different Mother. 😛

I think the #'s will explode because of finally getting mass testing like the flu.

Sorry, yeah I meant total.

According to this site, Italy now has 9,172 cases and 463 deaths. SK has 7,513 cases and 54 deaths. Huge difference in number of deaths. New cases in SK is on the decline.

The only logical conclusion I can make provided Italy medical system is not Third World quality is there are lot more unreported cases in Italy. Like 8 times the number of reported cases.

yeah, that's pretty crazy. I think it speaks towards culture and ability for different governments to mobilize. I think Italy is not nearly as wealthy as SK, and they certainly have a lot of remote, low-access villages and towns that are also primarily elderly.

Italians...you aren't going to tell them to stop touching other people, lol.

funny. I was actually going to respond with: have you ever read a highland post? 😀
Just last week, one of my group email friends bitched. Told him that since I'm the least "enlightened" of the bunch, if I read 10 articles a day and reference one, I expect them to get it. Haven't heard back. 😛

Not much into fear mongering but i sure in the heck think the numbers are much higher then the news and stuff shows. One story they said we don't want to cause a panic, that was said so yeah with that who knows. Post the real numbers and then watch panic ensue. Then watch the dow drop even further.

Not buying half the non sense the news is saying, its all controlled anyways.

2 Strains of Covid-19?... I think Iran is claiming this. Could it be that one strain is deadlier? Italy and Iran seem to have a higher % of deaths as compared to S. Korea. I also wonder if the deadlier strain could be more contagious as just a couple weeks ago S. Korea had a cople thousand case head start on Italy. Now Italy has many cases vs South Korea. I guess time will tell

Coronavirus can spread asymptomatically. Why is that sentence so hard to understand?

You can spread COVID-19 without displaying symptoms.

every single day I hear someone say how they don't have a fever or cough or anything.

I just face-palm myself (after donning nitrile gloves and our lucite face-shield)

I ordered that zinc supplement you linked, 1.6oz. To round up to free shipping I added an elderberry homeopathic cold remedy with 30 tablets and it contains Zinc Gluconate (2x, 6x HPUS), which I think is the same as is in the Zicam homeopathic lozenges I bought yesterday. Won't be stocked until Mar. 16. But I seem OK now, knock on wood. That Princess cruise liner is docking about 10 miles from me in a few hours! 😱
i have been taking zinc every night for the past 6 years.. ZMA. I also take zinc everytime i feel like a cold is coming on, every 2 hours they taste like grape candies so they are also enjoyable to take. just reupped my current stock with hundreds of them. The price of rice has shot up 6$ more for 50 pounds. I tried to sell n95 masks on ebay for a affordable price and for some reason they took down my listing saying something about item not allowed because of price gouging (which i wasnt even doing) but i see others with their n95 listings 120$ for 20 ;( wonder what happens if i list them here 🙂

I hope they ban you.

I could be wrong but the main concern there is that is before symptoms appear, not after symptoms disappear(recovery). The person we are talking about here got sick, and then recovered as far as symptoms. Are you people saying that recovered individuals can spread the virus just as easily as when they were sick? Is that what you are saying? That sounds like what you are saying.

Yes, it is. There's a reason why people are being quarantined for 14 days AFTER recovery.
