Lol globally we lose 0.25-0.5M people a year to influenza and people are freaking out on this?

I'm actually surprised by the number who do get the flu shot.

cdc.gov

"For the 2017-18 season, flu vaccination coverage increased with age, from 26.9% among adults 18-49 years to 59.6% among adults ≥65 years (Figure 2). "

I imagine once you're over 65 and know someone that's died from the flu, it gives you more incentive to get the shot.

Suspected coronavirus at my hospital. I think it's just FUD from ignorant coworkers. Or it is, just not the Wuhan one.

Or I'm going to die...

Dibs on your stuff! How long do I have to wait before it's not infected anymore?

The mortality of patients will be worse than 10% for the 99 patients surveyed. The report states 11% died and 31% were discharged. The issue is 58% of the patients were still in the hospital when this report was published. If the death to discharged ratio remains the same for the 58% of the patients still in the hospital, the final mortality rate will be around 25% for these 99 patients.

India asks Chinese officials if they can get permission to carryout 2 flights so than they can bring back those that live in India. Currently in talks with them dealing and working out all the required logistics. [1][2][3]

Sure I am going to believe a youtuber over medical professionals
Some YouTubers are medical professionals. SerpentZA worked in the medical field in China and had inside info from his Chinese doctor friends. C-Milk married a Chinese doctor and they livestreamed insider info together... on YouTube. I wouldn't doubt it if their friends were the ones arrested in China for "spreading rumors."

Edit: I see that the video you linked was C-Milk (AKA LAOWHY86). Guess you should be aware that he's not just "some YouTuber." He lived in China and recently moved to California with his Chinese doctor wife. This guy has much more direct info than you.

What proof did they provide showing that they worked in the medical field?

I worked in hospitals as well. But I am not a medical professional.

Literally YEARS of daily blogging while working in China across three channels. They eventually left their jobs to make their living documenting China and their lives in China instead... which millions have watched them do for years and years. SerpentZA left South Africa decades ago.

These YouTubers were already established professionals with relevant experience before this whole thing happened.

Good for you. Apples and oranges.

This man has inside information from Chinese doctors he personally knows that proved the Chinese government was lying several days ago. Did you live and work with Chinese doctors who told you otherwise? No. You didn't. C-Milk has significantly more credibility than you think.

They were both just English teachers. SerpentZA taught some medical staff english medical terms and hospital protocol. He is the one that married a Chinese Dr. C-milk's wife was just a generic office worker AFAIK.

You are right. It is Winston's wife who worked as a GP in China.

I recalled an old video about how Vivi and C-Milk got special treatment for the baby because of her father's government job or something and I incorrectly recalled it as being because of her government job at a hospital.

They were both in China for a very long time. Like most expats in China, they started as English teachers. Then they took on many other ventures, including a custom motorcycle shop.

SerpentZA has always talked about his wife's experiences as a doctor in China. He also highlights a problem in China where distraught family members often violently murder doctors and hospital staff when they lose a loved one. It's actually a huge problem, and China routinely suppresses the incidents so they aren't reported on the news. If you aren't in WeChat(?) groups with other medical professionals or you are not directly associated with a murdered medical professional, you probably have no idea when another incident occurs.

Winston "trained doctors," as he put it. While he wasn't a doctor himself, this did put him in the field with direct contacts. Their 2016 ADVChina video about Chinese hospitals was pretty enlightening.

He didn't teach any medical terms and hospital protocol, he doesn't have any training or expertise in the medical field. He taught them basic english language. The video I linked was from Nathan Rich has made ultra pro-China videos but his video about Serpent is mostly correct.

LOL! Obvious disingenuous griefer is obvious. A much more telling video from years ago:

Raw and honest.

It was never about whether or not he has "training" in the medical field. It was about his insight into it and contacts within it... which he obviously has directly and through his wife.

And now for a brief moment of levity about a serious subject:

The coronavirus is especially difficult because it comes with lime disease.
