I have a nice set from China that my best friend brought me back. They're very intricately designed and in my favorite color (green).

Yeah I don't see why people favour chopsticks. If it's a cultural/traditional thing, fine. Otherwise, I don't see why.

I'm non Asian with chopsticks. They are so much easier to wash than normal silverware that i use them as much as I can.

Yeah, dropping flatware into a dishwasher is quite difficult.

I do not eat without chopsticks. Chopsticks also serve as good tools in computer building in case you lose a screw or a nut.

non-asian. have about a zillion wooden chops from take-out. 4 sets of lacquered and one metal set.

The metal set was a gift from a girlfriend when I had long hair. She taught me how to put my hair up with them.

Non Asian. Have several beautiful sets of black, red and white lacquered ones. I also have even more sets of beautiful wooden ones, which I actually prefer to use over the lacquered ones.

Same here. I find the laquered ones a little too slippery, but they sure are nice to look at.

Typical barbarian response.

Have you seen his pic ?

I'm going to go be a barbarian now and eat a sandwich with my hands.

What the fuck is this heathen shit?

I also did it last night with my wife on top. I should just grow my hair long and dye it blond.

i do, but i'm asian.
bamboo ones are useful for cooking as well. allows for precision and easy manipulation of some stuff. course if you don't have the learned ability/technique down it can seem useless i guess. sorta like ice skating, effortless and fast for the practiced, and a total straining mess for n00bs.
