guest list for first 2 weeks

For a kick-off to Leno's glorious return to the tonight show...I've probably never seen a weaker guest list. A few stars (ie Morgan Freeman), but far from what one would expect:

Monday, March 1 - Guests include Jamie Foxx, Olympic Gold Medal Skier Lindsey Vonn and a musical performance by Brad Paisley

Tuesday, March 2 - Guests include Sarah Palin, Olympic Gold Medal Snowboarder Shaun White

Wednesday, March 3 - “Jaywalk All-Stars” with the Cast of “Jersey Shore,” Chelsea Handler, the most decorated American Winter Olympian of all time Speed Skater Apolo Anton Ohno and a musical performance by Avril Lavigne

Thursday, March 4 - Guests include Matthew McConaughey and Jason Reitman

Friday, March 5 - Guests include Morgan Freeman and Meredith Vieira

Monday, March 8 - Guests include Simon Cowell

Tuesday, March 9 - Guests include Christoph Waltz, Animal Expert Dave Salmoni and a musical performance by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts

Wednesday, March 10 - Guests include Kristen Stewart and Guy Fieri

Thursday, March 11 - Guests include Dana Carvey and Kim Kardashian, with a musical performance by Colbie Caillat

Recognition is hardly the benchmark...would you tune in to watch any one of those? Maybe a couple at best, lol. Freeman is the biggest star...and other than the gold medal winners, there are no A-listers.
 
I'm not Jay's biggest fan, but that's a pretty nice lineup if you ask me. WTF were you expecting?
 
Kim K will appeal, if you know your Olympians Vonn is hot. I'd also fuck Kristen Stewart... and Meredith Vieira. Wait what were we talking about?

For a kickoff...where's streep, pacino, nicholson, hoffman, depp, anyone of star status that says, 'this is the place to be again.' Aside from the athletes and Freeman, this is an attention whore/nbc lineup at best.

Probably no different than his guest list would have been a year ago, 2 years ago, 3 years ago at this time of the year. Guests on those shows are driven by movie and TV publicity, sports events, and whomever happens to be involved in the scandal de jour. He will get his usual parade of TV stars during sweeps and movie stars when the summer releases start up in May.
