No, he is right. Again, it is easy to say this if you are not the one being discriminated against and/or you are looking at it as a scenario where only one establishment out of several hundred or even several thousand in your area choose to do such a thing, but this is like Pandora's box. It is ridiculously hard to close once it is opened and gets out of control. People get used to such behavior being ok and it takes generations to change that regardless of laws. History has already shown us that this is not a good idea. Do not repeat past mistakes needlessly. That is very foolish.

If a lot of businesses start banning a certain demographic then other businesses will open catering specifically to that demographic to take advantage of the "new" wide open market. Why force everyone to play by your rules when the system is such that these people won't be long without service anyway?

Generally, no they can't if it's a place of public accommodation. Private clubs can discriminate, but i don't think charging a $.01 lifetime membership fee would work. Justice is blind, but it isn't stupid.

Because history suggests that doing so is not for the best in our society. For me, is is that simple. Plus, there are things in life which are more important than money and this is one of them. This country is not at its absolute best if business takes priority in every scenario. On average, people are not as happy that way.

My friend used to goto the strip clubs in CT right before closing. Tell the girls he's going to nyc to party if they want a ride. He used to roll up with 2 or 3 and he never paid admission.
