Must have!!!! OMG!!!!

Edit: I'd pay good money for a "Tengen Edition" (with two-player Tetris!)

pretty solid list of games. interesting that it's not mike tyson's punchout.

nintendo sees everyone else making millions off of putting old content out so they are getting a piece of the pie. good for them. although, this is definitely better than just putting out the exact old games in "hd" on the new consoles. at least you get OG hardware with this.

Yup, this is great, I'll definitely be buying this too.

They removed the "Tyson" name in early 90's if I recall. Just didn't renew his licensing contract I guess.

smart

Instead of trying to keep up with the big dogs and failing, they're finally playing on the strength of their classic games.

I didn't see any mention of it, so it's probably not there, but I was hoping for some kind of save state system like the emulators have. It would be nice, as not all of the old games had a good save system.

The Wii U does for its classic console so hopefully this will as well.

It would be worth it if the controller was wireless... ;)

But seriously why do they hate us so much by releasing this kind of awesome stuff?

Will blowing into it be required?

I do admit I wish the controllers were wireless. Seems like a requirement nowadays and wouldn't detract from the nostalgia/fun at all.

lol
Some of these are great inclusions... other ones will be fun until you remember how sadistically difficult they were.

This will sell well at this price point. First Pokémon Go, now the NES Mini. Nintendo is on a run here.

I honestly don't understand the appeal, but I guess it's good to see there's some interest.

Nostalgia.
Many of us grew up playing this slew of games. For $60 cheap/easy way to have some memories rekindled and have some fun.

That being said. I wish there was RC Pro Am. That game was addicting as hell

I understand the nostalgia point, but all of these games are already available via so many other methods.

It just reminds me of those Sega plug and play system that you see sitting in the Kmart discount bin for $9.99.

Not with the original controller (without hacks and other BS)

There are plenty of adapters you can buy to get one to work on PC or Wii/WiiU at a much smaller price point.

However I understand your point. That's why I said I'm glad to see there's some interest.

OR.......

You could just buy these games on the Wii U, play them today, and still have all the functionality like Netflix and Amazon and other stuff.

I wish it had SNES games as well.

As for Save States, another article I read about it suggested that it will have Save States. It pretty much has to have them for The Legend of Zelda

What a stupid product. Just port the games to Android. Could easily release most of those games for $9.99 on Google Play and a LOT of users would eat them up.

Nintendo continues to make strange choices, imo.

OR...

For those of us that already have a new console that does all that, you have a $60 option instead of spending hundreds +cost of games on a WiiU
