It's all speculation, I guess. However, it seems to me that since Canon has the tech and manufacturing lead, they have made it a policy to limit the amount of time another camera can claim the top spot in any particular DSLR category.

I wouldn't mind that 18-200VR on a Canon mount.

Heh $400 is cheap for a lens. Based on the 24-120 VR, I'd expect it to be around $700.

Yeah baby! Mine is being delivered tommorow, thanks to an inside contact at samy's camera in LA. what a hard to find camera. Anyone else buy it? Or know where to get the grip for it? I'll pay a finders fee if your local store has it in stock and you can buy it/ship to me.

this camera is badass. lives up to it's hype by far. only negative so far is somewhat bad batterly life, maybe 450 shots on a charge.

I've read that the first few charges will be less, because it has to charge up an internal battery. Once this has been done, the battery will last somewhat longer.
