I've seen my thread hijacked by people calling Microcenter "bastards" and screaming "bait and switch"
These deals come and go. You have to be quick, and even sometimes when you are you don't get jack. Trust me, if you want one of these deals, quit your job, and start jumping at them instead of thinking about them. Gotta also learn to let it go. I'm really not trying to be a jerk, I'd just like to know why *this* deal - whether it was a web mistake or not, has everyone so tightassed.

I don't think Microcenter are bastards. I'm not the least bit upset that I'm not getting the camera I ordered.

People who come to these boards are looking to save big money. I agree with what you're saying...it's a shame that a lot of them don't realize that they're not going to get in on EVERY deal (on the contrary, they're lucky to get any deal they do get).

You can't get upset and point fingers when you don't get in on a deal. Many people should understand that not getting a lot of these deals is part of the process...again, it's a shame some don't.

I don't know what the Best Buy fiasco was about, but if I get bored at work tomorrow, maybe I'll read up on it. (oh wait, was it the thing were people were getting arrested for trying to PM at BB?)

My Sony P1 order was cancelled today, even though I called them yesterday and they told me I'll get one. Got a confirmation email too. Microcenter is suck. Oh well, I guess I'm happy with my $160 Canon S100 that I got from Staples last summer Those were the days...

I called and then two days later, got all my cancellation emails. Bummer...would have been the hottest deal of the year, next to the WD 80GB for $75 with PM and AR.

Same here, but I doubt anything nice will happen. I don't think they had more than a few, if any, Sony's and I eventually received my order cancellation e-mail Thursday night...

When I called in they said they didn't what the e-mail meant, but the order had been cancelled...

Mine has been on hold since Monday afternoon. I think the holds fall off after 5-7 days, if it's anything like the way car rental companies operate.
