Nikon Coolpix 800 $109 shipped -DEAD DEAL

When did you guys order? On the 29th or the 30th?

placed 2 orders,one for coolpix 800 and one for sony p1.

got a confirmation for coopix, a cancellation email which didn't say it's for coolpix or sony, wish it is for sony p1.

I posted earlier that I got the cancellation e-mail.

Not long after, I just got 2 confirmation e-mails for both of the orders I placed, one for the Sony P1 ordered (Monday night) and 1 for the Fuji 2600 which I didn't even order until yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

I have a bad feeling these are just automated e-mails. Maybe the cancellation e-mail is an "umbrella" for all orders?

And I requested 2-day shipping for the Sony, yet the confirmations says: The estimated ship period of 5 - 7 business days assumes an in-stock condition at our fulfillment location for all of the items on the order. Occasionally we run into unexpected delays during the fullfillment process. Should this occur, we will notify you with the appropriate details and options available.

Still keeping my fingers crossed, but I don't know...

They cancelled all my orders even though I was given an order # from a CSR yesterday. I was assured I would get my two Sony's. Hah! I just called and another CSR said all my orders were cancelled.

Despite the fact that I got the strange cancellation e-mail, I'm holding a small glimmer of hope after actually receiving confirmation e-mails with order numbers...

...of course, it probably won't be long before this small glimmer of hope will be violently extinguished...

I got in on this deal real early (although I balked for about 10 minutes for no good reason). Got a cancellation notice just now ... I was in the better part of the 1100's.

Oh well, would have made a nice cheap present.

My orders placed on 29th for Sony P1 & Olympus Brio D150 got cancelled, however other order for Oly-D40 for $383.86 placed on 30th is under processing, when I called they said it will be shipped as D40 is an active item and should not be any problem filling this.

Why would they cancel your order if you ordered more than one??? If they're trying to be equitable, then they would just cancel all but one of them, and give everyone a fair shake. I think that CSR doesn't know what he/she is talking about. I think they are making up excuses on the spot. I have talked to two different CSR's myself and both give conflicting information about my orders. One said yesterday and I have the order for sure and the other giving me some line of BS that I am sure was made up about why my order is cancelled.

icecube - Oly-D40 was priced at regular $599 on 29 th, On 30th morning however for some reason it was priced at $492 for couple of hours during which period I placed my order, and with 20% discount it came down to $383.86. By afternoon they fixed the price back upto $599 regular retail.

i know a lot of you had bad experiences with microcenter online. if you ever get a chance, or are close to one, try stopping by one of their actual stores - you will probably have a much better experience. it's a shame they made themselves look so bad - they should have avoided selling online until they had the proper infrastructure.

So we ran them out of stock on discontinued items. They didn't charge us!

Christ, I was pissed at the BB thing. Still am, and I hope it resolves in my favor, but jeez you guys are some friggin bellyachers.

And yes, my order for the Nikon was cancelled.

Did ANYONE that ordered the Sony get a confirmation e-mail AND A SHIPMENT E-MAIL??

If so, please come forward and provide the hundred block your order was in (i.e. 600s).

What is fishy? They could have had TWO in stock.
AT and Fat-wallet both hit them at about the same time. Hell, if they were OOS in the first place its still not like they did something unethical or immoral.

Why is this a big deal?
