Sure, Chara was lifting Kessler's stick, but thats why the coaches always say "take care of your stick" The stick owner ALWAYS gets called, no matter how unintentional it is.

The NBC commentator even called it: "Kessler could have avoided this penalty had he just kept his stick on the ice"

I imagine they thought we were just as crazy/biased as we thought they were. Apparently it's just the producers of their broadcast.
