/me waits for the latest diving accusations. Or is it that every Shark was diving in Game 1 and in Game 2 there were no dives, however that works?

Meh. I would prefer is the just fucking let the shit go like the did was most of the games during the first round. This Sj VS Det game is becoming lame with all the calls on either side.

I'll bite.

Abby's stick dinging against Couture's facemask was only called because Couture convulsed like he was having a seizure for a good 4 seconds. Diving? no, Acting? hells yes.

either 3rd period or late in the 2nd, Homer takes one to the face after being shoved to the ground in front of the net... he doesnt act or whine on flail about to get the refs attention, he picks himself up and keeps playing.

Thornton baiting Howard well after he had gloved it and whistle blown... just another douche to make me dislike SJ

Just got back home from the morning hockey game here in San Jose.

FYI, there was not diving ()🙂

Oh, and Go Sharks, keep it up!

The only big issue I had today was the call against Homer in the third.

At least the Wings showed something in the third period today. Too bad Jimmy gave up that softie, but can't complain with his brilliance otherwise.

Excited to be at the Joe on Wednesday, going to be tense.

LOL at a softie 🙂

But I agree, the Wings are picking up the intensity. It will be a close series.

Sharks need to keep building up the intensity as well, and keep it 2 levels above the Wings.

Checking in. Been a rough couple of days here with my wife's side of the family. Two deaths within 48 hours will do that to you.

Hockey is the LAST thing on my mind.

Holy ochickenshit, we are 2 down.

Wow, you took that 3-1 chokejob vs Tampa pretty hard, eh?

Bolts showed some heart tonight, especially after withstanding the Washington "surge" in OT (Ovi's shake n' bake ---> Mojo in the crease was amazing). Caps didn't do what they do best: defend, and once again get burned by not getting back in time. The Bolts realized Wash's D was too aggressive and hit them in the underbelly with the long outlet pass. Wash didn't play to their strength and lost, it's that simple. Against NY they could get away with it, Tampa's speed will make you pay.

Wings got outplayed big time. This playing great the last 10 minutes of the game bullshit won't work on SJ.

I cannot wait till the day Bert, Homer, Flip, and Hudler are all gone. These guys cannot raise the level of their play when it matters.

I can't wait until they get ride of Datsuk and Howard. Keep these other losers 😀

Yeah, didn't see the games over the weekend but both looked like close contests just like the Tampa/Wash series. Better luck and it could be Wash up 2-0, considering Tampa scored a goal in each game that richocheted off a Wash defenseman which the netminder had no chance to save. Sometimes the hockey gods smile on you, other times not.

Also didn't see Philly/Boston but it looked like a shootout.

Sorry to hear about your loses - I hope you and your family are doing OK.

Yeah, I got a call around 11:30pm Friday night that her uncle had passed due to a massive heart attack. Then, just as I'm sitting down to enjoy a bit of afternoon hockey yesterday, we get a call that her aunt had passed away. She wasn't in the greatest of health and was in the hospital for two weeks due to an infection. She had diabetes and refused to treat it by eating right, etc. So it wasn't as big a shock as it was her uncle.

I don't even care that the Wings are tanking right now. I just want to get past the next month without another family member passing away.

The goal that wasn't

They were talking about it today on the radio. I didn't even notice it at the time.

It's not a goal if an offensive player pushes the goaltender into the goal, which is what it looks like happened there (even if it wasn't intentional).

In the event that the puck is under a player in or around the crease area (deliberately or otherwise), a goal cannot be scored by pushing this player together with the puck into the goal.

Except the puck seemed to be under his foot, not under his knee, and before he got pushed the only part of his pads outside the line was the knee.

It would have been nice if they had reviewed it. You'll never know what was up from the view I linked to.

The puck was in front of his left leg pad when he got pushed in the goal.

They never would have overturned that goal if they had looked at it. Although I can't imagine it could have been disqualified for pushing Niemi since whatever Wing was there was pushed by a Shark.

McQuaid just took himself out, rammed his head into the wall trying to hit Richards, bent his neck backwards.

Edit: Wow, he sat up, and is being coasted off the ice by Lucic and Chara, no neck brace being used.

And Philly applauded as he was coasted away.
