They never would have overturned that goal if they had looked at it. Although I can't imagine it could have been disqualified for pushing Niemi since whatever Wing was there was pushed by a Shark.

LOL, who was pushed by a Redwing. You Detroit fans are worse than Philly fans. 🙂

No Bruins fans out there tonight?

Tim Thomas was on fire, and we have no kudos.

Thomas played amazingly well. I won't say he won the game singlehandedly, because Boston did a great job of clearing the puck out of the front of the net and preventing the followup shots.

I'm not counting the Flyers out, as much as I want to. Boucher played well enough to win tonight.

Agreed, and Boucher is one of my favorite ex-Sharks. The dude is a complete team player, and gives it all every night.

Huh? What are you trying to say here?

Anyways, even without getting into goalie interference, "intent to blow the whistle" should take care of things (as in not a goal) because Niemi clearly had it covered.

Yup, Thomas was crazy last night. 52 of 54 shots saved? GD. Bruins stole that game, they were absolutely dominated in the 3rd and insanely lucky that Briere whiffed on a wide open net at the end of regulation. Not counting the Flyers out yet, because it's very doubtful that Thomas will be able to save 40 shots a game and still win against Philly. Philly is getting way more quality shots and Thomas will have to maintain his excellence if they want to avoid another chokejob. Boston is still 0-26 on the power play which tells you how good they are since they don't need it to win.

JVR was also amazing last night. They were comparing him to Ovi's speed and I can see why, he terrorized the Bruins and had 3 breakaways on Thomas. Will be fun watching him for the rest of the series.

Holy ochickenshit, we are 2 down.

if you're gonna name-call, at least make some sense. Calling Ovechkin a chickenshit...

lol @ not playing a game 7 that means the entire season when your team obviously needs you. Even your own fans were facepalming on the Pens board.

Yeah, calling Ovi a chickenshit sounds like he's in 10th grade. Can't wait for the "he's a meaniehead" insults. Just for KK, frontpage nhl.com:

Caps/Bolts in less than 3 hours (NHL Network broadcasting, puck drops@7 tomorrow though). Hope it's as exciting as Flyers/Bruins last night. My god, Backstrom needs to actually do something and the Caps need to get back to their new defensive system and be vigilant on shift changes. Analysts are harping on the 0-11 powerplay but that doesn't worry me since Boston is twice as bad and winning close ones; Caps PK is what needs to be better, a PP goal allowed per game isn't going to get it done, especially from one of the supposed best in the league.

Gagne/Kubina still out for the next two days so the Caps need to seize that advantage tonight or their season is pretty much over.

Caps were flying most of the night... the OT sucked and the goal off Mike Green's skate sucked... another performance similar to that one would be fine by me. Rolo can't get lucky that often. And yes, Backstrom needs to turn it on a bit... it's pretty much all on the line right now.

Caps got exploited early on sloppy defense, but #8 is on a freaking mission. He was drawing 3 defenders at the end of the 2nd period, can't blame Tampa for defensively overplaying him at this point. Ovi's speed is blazing and he should have had a penalty shot too (didn't matter b/c he scored on the 5 on 3 anyway). Great game so far, Caps up 3-2 after 2.

waah, waah, it was a stupid joke. don't get too butt hurt over it.

Oh look, TB up by 1 now. 😛

Wow, the Preds are hanging in there even after a weak 2nd period.

The Canucks still don't look very strong on O tonight though.

Wow, i couldn't watch the Cap-Lightning game, but damn, 3-0 Bolts i did not expect!
