If I were a Journalist, in a war zone, I would peak around corners too.

That a fucking American Helicopter would choose to kill me, would never cross my mind.

That's my best guess too, but it could also be something other than a rifle.

Looks more like a tripod bag to me.
That tripod bag is for light tripods, not camera tripods. A bag for a camera tripod is MUCH smaller.

Also, news photographers don't carry tripods. You don't need them in their line of work.
Here is a picture of the photographer who was killed in that video. Look at his lens, notice that it doesn't have a tripod collar on it? That is because a tripod on a lens like that is completely worthless. It actually works better without the tripod due to image stabilization.

Dude, you can't even see where the tripod wiould mount in that picture.

And any decent photographer has a tripod on him at all times.

If you were walking towards my friends carrying an AK-47 and an RPG I would kill you too.

BTW the only way we know these guys is journalists is via hindsight. At the time of the incident we had no way of knowing who they were or what they were doing.

We do know though that someone was firing on Americans and that someone was walking towards those guys carrying weapons.

Then I can guarantee that the last thing crossing your mind will be a 30mm bullet. Well, it will do a little more than cross your mind. Just a little though.

Where does it say the helicopter fired with no PID?
Again, the EAD and direct fire threat of the Assault Mission Request lists no PIDed targets, it doesn't say what the chopper gunners wound up doing because it was the mission request. The only thing resembling PID started with the gunner making a very lame attempt at it right off the bat by mistaking a camera for a weapon. Where is your mind?

They had PID. They fired. They killed terrorists, and a couple of fools. They did nothing wrong. Everyone knows this.

You are an idiot.

I am a photographer and I NEVER carry my tripod. They are not needed with todays camera.

And for the record here is a camera like that with a tripod collar.

If the camera in that photo had a tripod mount it would be sitting exactly where his left hand is sitting.

Where are the journalists, which are documented facts, in the photo you just posted?

-John

Why would he take a photo of himself? We know that was his photo, taken just before he was killed in the video.

Not to mention, everyone in the video was a civilian.

-John

In war civilians aren't carrying weapons. Some definitely were civilians but shit happens in war and civilians being killed is inevitable. Its not an issue with this specific incident but war itself, and this is an example of why not to fight wars when they can be avoided.

Again, the EAD and direct fire threat of the Assault Mission Request lists no PIDed targets, it doesn't say what the chopper gunners wound up doing because it was the mission request. Since you are an expert on this, please point out how the form would look if it they listed identified targets?

Also, since you're positive this form is specifically for the incident with the journalists please check the dates on it and please point out anything written on the form that mentions said incident, thanks.

Finally, the PID started before that when the gunner correctly identified a group of combatants down the road from American soldiers with ak-47s and at least 1 rpg. The fact that cameramen where in the group changed nothing.

You just posted a picture of a lens... not a camera.

I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about.

I think you are confusing fiction and reality...

All of the radio talk was air-planes... nobody was close to the people that were murdered.
