I'd rather the Jets face some adversity than just cruise through the regular season.
Obviously the Broncos were well prepared for this game, everything from the onside kick to the all the yards they picked up on the ground speaks to that.
And yet the Jets were able to win. That takes some guts. And the PI was legit. If Holmes's head isn't getting twisted like a soda cap he makes that catch.
As someone on the Jets MB put it:
1) Short week
2) West Coast game
3) High Altitude
4) Sanchez throws ball to other team
5) Officials put money on the broncos
6) Revis still not at 100%
=5-1
Yep, over last decade or so crossing the mississippi has been deadly for the team. Just look at how many times they've lost to the raiders during that time. And the jets had tide some record for most consecutive games without a turnover, and finally letting that damn burst and still win is huge. As for the broncos, take away tebows ability to move the ball by changing the attacker/defender ratio and denver still had a very subpar running game.
All in all, they are heading into their bye at 5-1 missing 6-0 by 1 point after many predicted a 2-2 if not 1-3 start, and both of their challengers for the division title needed OT this week to not fall behind by 2+ games.
