Bill Belichick needs to retire. He’s 70, has enough money to live for at least 70 more and is seriously pissing off Pats fans.Apparently Reid might be considering retiring. I'd be very doubtful he does, but if so, who the hell do they find for a coach? Granted they could probably take their pick (wonder if Sean Payton might would have some regrets). Maybe they'd promote Bienemy, or possibly Spagnuolo.
But imagine what that would do. It could be chaos. Would Billy leave New England (or maybe Kraft trade him?), would Pete Carroll make a shrewd move? Sean McVay?
Or, oh no, Kliff Kingsbury?
After 20 years of happiness in Pats-i-stan, it's a necessary remedy that Pats fans be pissed off for a while.Bill Belichick needs to retire. He’s 70, has enough money to live for at least 70 more and is seriously pissing off Pats fans.
Oh I could give two shits.
Giants had a much better than expected rebuilding year but they have a ways to go. Don't mind their losses, in fact I was expecting a few more at least, so I'm happy with their performance overall.
I'll always root against Dallas and Philly though, it's just how it is as a Giants fan, for decades. Plus I thought the amount of predictions that this was totally Philly's game to lose like KC barely had a shot, to be ridiculous. And said so.
It was Philly's to lose, and they did in the ways that were talked about. Not getting to Mahomes, plus mistakes (turnovers, penalties, special teams, wasted TOs, tactical errors.)
They scored more points on KC than any team this year. They won in critical offensive stats.
What they could not do was combine the errors with a dreadful, ineffective 2H defense and let KC catch up, then pass them at the end. KC was too good to concede these F ups and still walk away with a trophy.
Sounds like the Giants vs New England, the year the Pats were 18-0 going in, except the Giants didn't even have a Mahomes.
The 2015 game between New England and Seattle on NBC holds the record at 114,442,000 viewers.Superbowl was the third most watched in history. Shit I thought the NFL was way too fucking woke for the snowflake conservatives and they weren't watching anymore?

Not sure where you're getting your "Philly fans" info. I mean the Eagles subreddit is full of people saying the defense blew it, particularly Gannon. Of course people are angry about that horrible call, naturally, but very few people are blaming the loss exclusively on that call.LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing all of the crying about "the call" last night.
But Philly fans don't want to talk about Jalen Hurts literally dropping the ball and giving the Chiefs 7 points on a scoop and score. Or some BS replay calls that all went Philly's way prior to that. No that didn't have anything to do with the Chiefs winning.
It was only a defensive holding call, that even without, the Chiefs would have scored 3 points easily, giving them the lead. The guy who committed that penalty even admitted he held onto his jersey after the game. He was a very standup guy and gave a really long interview. Mad props to him.
Dude, you're coming off as comically bitter. You need to move on from your team"s losses.Awww poor iggles

But if you read this thread ... Philly was way overrated to win.
Exactly. In fact, Philly sports fans are historically among the more informed fan base out there. To be sure, it's a relatively low bar to clear, but still . . .Not sure where you're getting your "Philly fans" info. The Super Bowl is a cultural phenomenon, and about the only thing Americans can all appreciate together across the great partisan divide.Superbowl was the third most watched in history. My reading was that most rightly considered the game a toss up. Paid prognosticators seemed to be almost evenly split, iirc. I don't know anyone who thought it would be a Philly blow out, at all.Could you link where? I honestly don't remember anyone here saying Philly was going to blow out KC. Not surprisingly Philly fans thought Philly would win, but so did Vegas. Shrug.
Dude, you're coming off as comically bitter. You need to move on from your team"s losses.
You continue to come across as almost comically bitter. It's not a good look.Oh cry some more. I have never liked Philly, and just hate Dallas a little bit more, even when the Giants were winning four superbowls and in the playoffs over the last 40 years I never liked them. And Philly has always had one of the worst and trashiest fanbases in all of football. I expected the Giants to go maybe .500 or most likely slightly under this year so I'm really not sad about the Giants performance, that line is getting super stupid old real fast. They've given me way more to cheer for in my 47 years on this planet than most NFL teams give. Definitely more than the Iggles.
The Eagles are a good team, but not as good as the hype. Their road to the superbowl wasn't that impressive when you get down to it. Can't take a couple decent memes after a loss? Sensitive aren't we. If the Chiefs had a 100% healthy Mahomes and a real #1 receiver it would have not even been close.
Do you need some moisturizer with your tissue boxes, your skin might be raw from all the nose blowing...

You think that's bad, the half-time show had 118.7 million viewers. Katy Perry was #1 at 121 million (2015). Might be why Seahawks game had high numbers. More people are watching the half-time show than the actual game. I wonder if that's always been the case. The 2015 game between New England and Seattle on NBC holds the record at 114,442,000 viewers.
sea hawks?
Why was this one the most watched?
And that punt return to the 5? The 2nd half was a pretty epic meltdown by the birds.I didn't care who won that game either way, but what are Philly fans saying about the 3 gift TD's they gave up? those two passes were probably the easiest TD's I have ever seen in a Super Bowl...could those guys have been more wide open?
And I can guarantee you that if the situation was reversed, they would be screaming if a penalty wasn't called (which would pretty much apply to any fan base)...
To me the 1/2 time show sucked. Very generic. Synched dancers in matching costumes, diva holding microphone with toned down dance moves. Same ole thing. After a bit I FF through it.You think that's bad, the half-time show had 118.7 million viewers. Katy Perry was #1 at 121 million (2015). Might be why Seahawks game had high numbers. Bad shoulder throw. Also, what kind of weak ass throw was that for a Hail Mary from a NFL quarterback?
QFT. That was unforgiveable.Last thing. NFL needs to ban Arizona from hosting games if they can't get their piece of shit field in shape.
