Yeah. Jones and Barkley and Gano tried but the rest of the team failed tonight. Poor protection, dropped passes, no pressure, secondary is poor, receivers not getting open. They are just lucky they kept it close.

Not really Jones' fault there when the turf got the receiver.

But Diggs...them receiver instincts.

Well I suppose I should have known better. :confused_old:

Jones looked bad at the end of the game and desperate throughout. (which is typical for him)

Although he did make some nice throws tonight his arm isn't his problem it's his judgement and it still needs a ton of work. Rush was the better QB for tonight at least.

He looked really good all game considering the situations he was put in. I think maybe one off target throw? Drops, pressure, his, sacks, nobody getting open.

How could anyone be pleased with what they saw tonight from our FOURTH YEAR "star" starting quarterback lol ??

:p

I understand as a Giants fan myself that anything other than total $hit looks REALLY good compared to what we're used to but don't make the mistake of thinking this team is suddenly good. (or that we have the QB of the future in "twinkle-toes")

Yes, Daniel Jones does suck.

All things considered...he looked ok this game. (I didn't watch the first half)

I mean, Shepard and Golladay dropped a couple throws on the money and the pass to James was pretty good.

They gave you hope. They're already a step above the past.

My team actually looks like a dead team in the water already.

Your Jones hatred is insane. The guy got many first downs with his feet, probably set a record of some kind for the giants, and kept plays going with his feet while still looking downfield, it was the most pressures by a Dallas defense ever since he had virtually no protection, something like 24 pressures, the vast majority of this throws were on target, the receiver corps is mediocre and can't get open much, plus they dropped multiple passes, or slipped, like on the last play. The guy singlehandedly kept us in the game offensively and stayed calm under an insane amount of pressure while always looking for a receiver, who never got open.

I have nothing against Jones as a backup QB..... he simply isn't a very good or consistant starting NFL quarterback based on watching him play. Rush made him look like a damn rookie tonight not a veteran-starter playing at home!!!

Jones often looks "okay" with occasional flashes of what appears to be greatness but it's just an illusion. There's no "winning" future with him at starting QB for the Giants... finishing above .500 even with their weak schedule would be a minor miracle.

On the "plus" side at least we have a staff that knows wtf they're doing now and isn't a total embarrassment.

I don't think Jones is a great QB but we will never know if he could have even been even very good with all the changes in coaching and shitty pieces around him. Probably the most pressured quarterback in the last four years out of them all.

Especially if you shit on him for tonight's performance and compare him to Rush, who actually had a pocket to throw in. The comparison is silly. Jones singlehandedly kept us in this game offensively, minus Barkley's big run. You seem to forget an offense also consists of an o-line and receivers and tight ends.

ROTFL.... get back to me when he wins anything in the NFL.

YOU may be happy with Daniel Jones starting for YOUR pro-football team but he's not good enough to make mine!

;)

The Cowboys are also a terrible football team but Rush did a better job leading them to victory than Jones did with the Giants. (and that's why I don't believe in Jones)

I don't really disagree. I just didn't see much that was the "bad Jones" that one would expect tonight.

How about the end of the FG drive late in the 4th and then the final "effort" of the game?

It's not all Jones fault but you can't "telegraph" passes the way he does (in his FOURTH YEAR not second!) and get away with it for long in the NFL without defensive backs homing in on it.

Sure enough he should have been picked at least 3-4 times tonight too... it was only dumb luck he wasn't. (and wtf was that "grounding" play that cost us our 3rd down try!)

At the beginning of Sunday, there were 52 people left in the pool...31 of them took the Chiefs yesterday (I was one of them)...with 6 other wrong picks, the pool is now down to 15 people after week 3.
I didn’t hit on my parlay because of my bills bias but my bro advised that smart money was all over Indy on Sunday. I know most believe that there is no way games are tampered but I used to be in a pick em league that I won two years in a row and all it took was a visit to my bro to see what team he likes each week that appeared to be huge favs. Anyhow, I honestly don’t believe in tampering either. Maybe slightly. 😂. If there is I certainly haven’t fully capitalized.

Giants got their mojo back.

Watch, they'll paste the Cowboys and Saquon just goes off like a manic.

Throw in a gazillon Cowboys penalties and you have a nailbiting Giants victory.

The ONLY issue is...Daniel Jones doing a Daniel Jones "just too short" misstep.

Cowpukes are missing Amari bad.
Well this didn't age very well.

i dunno why anyone outside of cleveland would want the browns to win anyway.
When I was a kid, my uncle lived near Cleveland. I am a big Guardians fan to this day thanks to him, and was really happy for the city when the Cavs won it all in 2016. I've often pulled for the Browns when it didn't conflict with the Bills (Lake Erie Bros), but at this point, I'll be happy if the team doesn't win another game.

They might have an 0-17 in them…in about ten years.

Looking at the Giants groups on Facebook and on Reddit even a lot of people who don't like Jones are admitting he was the bright light last night along with Barkley, he played his tail off and basically kept us in the game.
