This is incorrect on all counts. The prosecution of war crimes has nothing to do with the world court. As a signatory to the Nuremberg Principles (the US wrote them) the US is obligated to prosecute war crimes. The invasion of Iraq was a war of aggression, an enumerated war crime (Crimes Against Peace, Principle VI.a.1) under the Nuremberg Principles and Bush and his gang of weirdos are war criminals.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_principles

Error 1441 War crimes not found. (This is a pun)

Where is the ruling that has deemed the Iraq War as an act of unwarranted aggression (Of which the US congress gave authorization for the use of force and the UN sanctioned via resolution 1441) or which has ruled Bush and Cheney as war criminals in any sort of legally binding manner?

Newt is a very smart guy (smarter than Obama IMO) but he has the same problem as Obama. He's not a leader and can't sell people on his ideas. He would also be just as bad as Obama as a manager of the executive branch of government. I would like to see him a role in crafting policy if another Republican wins.

I must say Newt hit the ball out of the park tonight. Foreign policy he drove tacks through his competition. Even on giving immigration amnesty the crowd unbelievably cheered.

Is the man a good salesman of the Democrats' points?

Be it amnesty for almost all illegals, except for the PR quota (no difference from today), or sitting on the couch with Pelosi, Newt strikes me as a very dangerous man for conservatism. He can talk the talk, and make it sound good - but nothing has given me confidence that he'd walk the walk. Hell, some of what he says is very much pro war and pro patriot act. Very bad.

He might be aptly filed under the Bush, McCain, and Romney category. I don't want a fake pro-government conservative in office, besmirching our name once more.

This. His whole thing on the patriot act today just ended my chances of voting for him. Sadly, Paul just became my only choice (before it was Paul or Gingrich. Now it's just Paul.) Too bad he doesn't have a chance...

Are you kidding? They could but a D next to Jesus, and an R next to the Devil, and if Rush & Fox News told them to vote R, they would.

Yeah, and plenty of people vote D because they're told to. It goes both ways. Plenty of people just vote based on party. It's sad.

At a time when California budget cuts might shorten the school year by a week, Newt wants illegal immigrant amnesty. He also calls child labor laws "truly stupid." I bet he has a similar opinion about the abandonment of the Trans-Texas Corridor project. Talk about your cheap labor. Yep he's a republican alright.

A democrat would want immigrant amnesty and to lower the legal voting age. lol

I like Newt. He is the perfect role model for the fundie religious right: A converted Catholic that's been married three times.

For the Repubs I guess that easily beats out a Mormon that's been faithfully married to his wife since 1969, or so it seems of late.

Next!:D

The poll says it all. Reflective of the results come this November 2012, regardless what the news media tries to spin between now and then. Obama WILL BE re elected to a second term. We all know that. So do they.
And why this should matter to you?
Well for one thing, that Obama stimulus tax cut for the middle class, that $400 per person tax cut, is about to expire. Republicans could give a crap if it expires. They are willing to raise your taxes come January 2012 by $400, just to attack Obama.
Obama will not let that happen. Thanks to Obama, that tax cut will be extended one way or the other.
Still considering voting republican????

Yes it's cheap labor. Yes it's bad for poor and marginal Americans. But we let them in. It’s not like we didn’t know it was happening for 30 years. We did nothing. Doesn’t make it right but we made our own problem. Right is not booting people that have been here a generation, with root, houses, citizen kids.

As for as welfare that's breaking budgets, that's another whole ball of wax. Get rid of it in it's current form into workfare like FDR did. Get rid of NAFTA and MFN and put Americans to work instead of watching TV. Get rid of public schools too. They don't do anything other than high priced day care. Parents get vouchers like in Europe and school choice. Most want the best for their kids and would send them to get educated much cheaper.

Shush. BushBashers™ are immune to reality and facts. It confuses them, which causes their minds to lock up, requiring a reboot into dogma mode.

They'll vote for anyone but Obama. The devil himself could put an R next to his name and the repubs would vote for him over Obama.

I would vote for a sun dried mule turd before I would vote for Obama. I am not a hard core republican ( I voted for Clinton when he ran ).

IMO Obama is the epitome of a worthless POS Chicago thug, he is only in the game for what He can gain. He blames everyone but himself, plays everyone for a fool and doesn't hold himself accountable for anything. I know this could be a description of many politicians.

I would even vote for Jimmy Fuckin Carter before I would vote for Obama, and I hate Jimmy Carter.

The question is... for all the people stating "Write In" who exactly are you writing in?

I think it's pretty funny that the person that is more of a middle road on views is going to win the republican seat. I think people fear that if your too radical (too far to the right) your gonna lose so... they are waiting for someone to take the middle ground so that even the Left can say well, maybe I should vote for this guy.

Even tho, I will never EVER well, highly unlikely I will vote with in the two party system since they ALL walk a GREAT talk, but never take action on anything they say they are going to do. I'll give credit to Obama ... He did try.

I still think Obama will run his 8 year course.

Eh, Newt seems the best out of all the GOP. He can actually speak in specifics and not just random cliches and surface level terms. Watching Bachmann talk is hilarious.

...snip ...

Watching Bachmann talk is hilarious.

Yep. My local PBS station had a clip of her being interviewed by them and, based on her responses, I don't think she even listened to or understood any of the questions.

Why would anyone hate Jimmy Carter? He was a good President.

He was an ok president. Not good, but not bad either.

It is more what he has done since then...started out great, but over time he has turned into a self-important asshole.

Huh? He tried to do what, fill his campaign promises? Even the easy ones like not signing a bill into law until it has been posted on the Internet for a few days were instantly broken.

The same time he was receiving his Nobel Peace Prize, he was actively increasing the number of troops the US had at war...he did not bring the troops home from Iraq and he did not close GitMo.

The big promises and the easy promises...broke them as quickly as he could.

So what credit are you giving him? Debt ceiling increase type credit maybe?
