<< The two Gore combinations, minus the Bush-Buchanan votes, add up to 6,607 lost votes for Gore. >>

Bwwahahahaha!!!

That's classic reasoning if there ever was. I really dig how the newspaper seemed unsatisfied of the standard that the democrats, in charge of recounting the ballots in PBC, used in determining what constituted a valid vote--so they had to, of course, institute their own standard and "divining" voter intent:

<< Finally, the paper found that Gore would have had a net gain of 784 votes if the board had also counted the 5,361 ballots that had a dimpled chad, which means the chad had an indentation but no light could be seen through a pinhole or its edges. >>

LOL, but that standard would have backfired huge had it been used on "every" vote cast!!!

<< Burton pointed out a problem with The Post's method. If the canvassing board had counted dimpled chads as votes, it would have had to reject the ballots where voters made a clear punch for one candidate and made a dimple for another because that would have reflected an overvote. It is unknown how many ballots would have been disqualified if that had been done. >>

If Gore had won I'd be seeing his mug every night on the news trying to sell his new spending programs. Instead I see Bush trying to reduce our tax burden. Frankly, I prefer this Bush fella given the choice (and we were).

And really folks would you actually want the democrat party in power when our economy is teeter-tottering?

If you read the Palm Beach Post's analysis of the issue, it's almost completely B.S. They make the assumption that all of the votes that people above and below Al Gore got were intended for Al Gore, yet they don't make the same assumptions for Bush. You can't have it both ways :p

Yes, I'm sure that in some whacky parrelel universe, where the Democratic party managed to convince a court to believe that nobody with an IQ over 2 votes for Democrats, and, thus, convinced them that all third party votes were actually intended for Al Gore, and every ballot that had a little nick, or scratch on it somewhere was also intended for Al Gore, and all the votes Bush got were also intended for Al Gore, then Al Gore may conceivably have won. But here in the real world, Bush won by a fair margin, so STFU :p

Great, you can run in 2004 then :)

Now we all know why "Dubya" had to get the recount stopped at any cost.:)

Let it go? HAh, you would protect a corrupt illegitimate adminstration.

And green? The greens made enemies by helping bush, and for what? I guess greens don't understand why half a loaf is better then none.

It's not the case when the "half a loaf" is tainted with mold. :D

Did they only count the undervotes in certain counties? If so, who cares? The liberals only wanted to recount Democratic counties. I won't bat an eye at these stories until they recount all the ballots!

I just love the fact the liberals voted for Pat in overwhelming numbers! I guess they got what they deserved after setting up such a liberal education system in FL. Guess they could use Bush's new "Reading Before Third Grade" plan.

What kind of crack are you on. Its obvious something is wrong, but you ofcourse think the voters are stupid because they aren't on your side. Would be much different if roles were reversed.

And wtf are you talking about, liberal education system? I guess you havn't gone to school for a long time. This liberal teaching system conservatives rant about doesn't exist, it disspeared long ago.

Nice one Mule!!! I don't consider that my vote made enemies by helping Bush, I voted my conscience and that's all there is to it. I'm not gonna vote for some idiot just because he's the lesser of two evils, I'm gonna vote for who I believe is the best candidate.

hehe, right, but mold is better then nothing. Can't remember the exact qoute, but evil happens when good ppl do nothing. Voting green was doing nothing.

Both Ds and Rs trade lies and consequently rights to the Throne. Could any third-party rise up waving a flag called Truth and make decisions putting people first and not government? We'll never know unless it happens. I personally can't imagine a Gore/Censorman regime being better than a Shrub/Chenney regime. This continual trading of power and blocking any other ideas is getting quite tiresome, however.

I really want to know who's foolish enough to think Gore will run in 2004? The democrats are mad at Gore for loosing to Bush, he won't get a second chance from them. Besides, haven't you heard? Hillary's the new face of the democratic party. :) Personally I'd give a *decent* democratic candidate a fairly good chance of winning in 2004, but who's to know Bush might have a successful presidency.

You've got to be kidding right? I left some bread in a drawer once for over 2 weeks and it turned into a green brick that smelled just awful! Without a doubt I would take nothing over bread with mold.

Funny, three or four other newspaper stories I read showed Bush gaining votes on Gore when the standards in used during the official counting were used. In those other stories when the more lax standards were used, Gore only gained on Bush by double digit figures. Besides, this is not about counting all the official ballots, the story seems to be insinuating that double punched ballots should be counted which is completely absurd. If a person mistakenly punches the wrong hole, he has the right to ask for another ballot, only an idiot would punch two holes for the same office. Double punched ballots have never and should never be counted, who's to say that all those double punches for Gore and Buchanon were actually for Buchanon and not Gore? Another example of the liberal media using its position as a propaganda machine to win over weak-minded individuals to the belief that there was some sort of stolen election. Bush won, he's doing the right thing with the tax cuts, and I am proud to live in a country with a good and decent human for a leader.

well the analogy was bent until it didn't work:p You'd have to say that the moldy loaf would support some of the things you were fighting for, but not all. Nothing is well like getting assraped.. drilling in alaska etc.

A better comparison would be would you want your sick child to live by amputating its foot, or err just kill it to be done with it:p
