Well, Jesus, it's not quite like having your leg amputated!Originally posted by: jadinolf
Yes, probably many months but most of it will be done in my home and by myself.Originally posted by: Stiler
g'luck, if its anything like getting your leg amputated then you might have many months of psychial therapy ahead of ya.
Being a widower I will have some problems for at least a few weeks since there is no one here to help me.
hahah you dog tryin to get in that last bit of fun eh? Anyways don't listen to that guy, he probably only told you that for legal liability, you will do fine, and be back on ATOT in no time (although probably a lot less since you will have much more mobility) Good Luck to you, and see you soon!I was surfing (the Pacific) on Wednesday
One last thing.. they told me that I would have to inject myself with a blood thinner twice a day for 15 days. Me do that? You've got to be kidding! Well, my first lesson was last night and the second was this morning. Now I'm on my own and I punch the needle in my belly at 10 tonight. As much as I was apprehensive, it's really a pice of cake -- no problem.
"You realize that you could die during the surgery or it might leave you paralyzed, don't you?" "I'm going to give you a spinal and another injection in a nerve on your left side. You will be in severe pain for at least three days and this will help to relieve the pain"
