Hopefully this issue will be resolved before Kaby Lake! I have an ASRock Z170 Extreme4. Interestingly, the latest BIOS revision, 2.70, which I installed last weekend, is no longer available for download. I wonder why?

Yeah, 2.90, the "SKY OC" Official-release BIOS is GONE for my Z170 Pro4S too!

Think Intel forced them to pull it, and now they're not offering SKY OC for any mobos, even the Z170-based ones?

Anyone have the guts to try flashing the newest BIOS (for mine, 3.00), and tell us if BCLK OC is still possible? Now I'm afraid to flash...

Uncore does not seem to be OCing well at the moment, x35 seems to be max stable now, but I really need to learn more about the Asrock style settings on this board, which are a little different than the last Haswell board I had, not to mention it being X99 and having straps, etc. Haven't messed with those yet.

Thanks, I think it's setup that can be lived with for quite a while, OCing with Intel's blessing now, lol. Hope Broadwell-E is awesome and will work in this board (ASRock X99 Extreme4).

4.7 -> 4.8Ghz seems to be the wall, I had to jump from 4.7 @ 1.35V to 4.8 @ 1.43V
good to know it has a 600-700Mhz reserve from the 4Ghz it will stay at as a Plex server 🙂

Intel Xeon x5670 @ 4GHz - 10.33 points ...could probably squeeze a little more out of the processor, maybe 4.5GHz. Load temps right now are only in the 50's (watercooled). Still, not bad for a 6 year old processor that I paid $89 for. 😛

Those are 8 core I am running 6 core (dual cpu). E5-2643 v3's http://ark.intel.com/products/81900/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2643-v3-20M-Cache-3_40-GHz?q=E5%202643%20V3

It is a new system, so for reasons I have yet to figure out they don't show up as 3.4ghz I believe they are inherently under clocked by the Motherboard.
