Still no evidence anything is going on at Berkeley.

Looks like they are waiting until tomorrow.🙁

So, this looks like we all are going to suffer during this dilemma, that will hopefully be short lived! I would have liked to see the max my rigs could do? Oh well, another time I guess..... 🙂

Drsignguy, were you able to get more work for those awesome rigs?

You're the #2 guy on our TeAm!!

Got up this morning and did some checking and some WU's have come in but limited thus far. Their starting to filter in slowly but surely. My rigs seem to spit them out faster than they come in. 🙂

Ok, made sure all rigs have what they need and they are running full throttle now.

I will be going to the 1 game playoff later today with Detroit vs Twins. This one is going to be exciting and very loud in the dome! So hopefully all rigs will continue to do what their supposed to do....crunch!

Kinda a nice problem to have!😎

Great job Tom!

Seems the GTX260 is the best bang for the buck these days. Thoughts?

If I upgrade my 8800GT, I'll have to get a new PS too. ~$280 total.:frown:

Sorry to say, but I have a similar problem. I'll up the cache to 6 days. I hope that my downloading of WUs does not deplete other TeAm-mates from WUs ... 😉

Oh, BTW: as of now: 118 500 credits crunched since last Gauntlet update. I hope there will be a good update this time!
No idea about the pending credits - aught to be in the 130 - 150K range ... and that is fun - because when I decrease the speed for seti@home after Oct. 16 these credits will come to me for quite some time. 😀

Edit: my GTX 250 has crashed and burned. It will take some time (3 - 4 days) to get a new one. 🙁 OTOH, I did not get more than a few GPU-WUs ...

Apart from lack of new stats I didn't even notice the outage 😱, guess my rig was still merrily crunching 🙂.
My quad's got 9 to report & a load of WUs to crunch.

All my machines are set to 10 days cache.
They can crunch merrily away even if I go on vacation. 😉

I agree, if you're crunching CPU only, setting the cache to 10 days is an easy, relaxing ride through the Seti outages.

If you have a modest GPU (9800GTX+ in my case), it's another story. Setting the cache to 4 days only gives me 24 h of GPU workunits. I can change that with the reschedule app though.

Times have changed....a GTX260 (<$200) will probably outperform (ppd) any Quad core on Seti.

If you are dedicated Seti cruncher, I would get a dual core and 2 fast GPUs.

I like the quad core cpu, dual gpu setup.

I have to agree. Works very well....🙂

A Quad it is then!🙂

Stats came out last night and we're still only 36K out of second place!🙂

Time to get on my knees and beg to my wife for a hardware upgrade!

191.07 drivers have been released... doesn't say if there's any cuda improvements, but i'm not having any problems and i have them on all my nvidia gpu systems... except the 8400gs (it's not even worthy to be a space heater)

There is probably an easy fix for this but one of my WU went to 91% and not boinc doesn't want to start it back up. It just always says waiting to run and is in slot 0 if i look under properties. Is there anyway to make it start?

I've seen this on my GPUs sometimes and they never start again. I put the project on suspend and then abort the WU and then start the project again.

THE TEAM IS IN 2nd PLACE!!!!!:thumbsup:

I retired my 8800GT and replaced it with an 295GTX.

Nice replacement!

Was this a "Wife approved" purchase?🙂

why retire it?... just keep it in there or pop it in another computer... you can still get decent ppd out of it.

I only have 3 rigs and they all have a single pcie x16 slot so the GTX295 seemed like a good solution.

Yes neurodog, I did get permission before the purchase.

If one or more tasks is running "High priority", partially finished tasks will be paused, possibly for a very long time, and this is completely normal so just let it continue.

But, if nothing runs "high priority", not sure what's going-on...

It is possible, depending on client-version, new tasks instead of already-started tasks is run after re-starting BOINC-client, if so this is a possibility...

One thing you can do, pause all other work, and see if affected task continues. If not, try re-booting. If it still doesn't continue, abort it. 🙁
