Either one or two wu would be worked on at a time and I cant see how having two cards split one wu would be better than both of the cards working on their own wu. Any thoughts from you guys with all those crunching rigs?

I have a GTX295 running in SLI mode now. After the race (this weekend), I will go to radio shack and buy some resistors to make a dummy plug. It'll be tough to do a controlled test though since most of my GPU WUs have different crunch times.

I have four GTX260 running seperate on two machines (2 GTX260 per machine), once i've reached the max ppd for them I'll switch one over to sli and see how it does. one machine is at 26000ppd and still climbing and the other is at 19000ppd and still climbing... keep in mind that the one at 19000ppd was started a couple weeks after the one with 26000ppd.
both are i7 920 C0... the 26kppd is OC'd to 3.1 Ghz, while the 19kppd is not OC'd... none of the video cards are OC'd, but i keep the fans running at 80% at all times. both machines are crunchers 24/7

That should be helpful. For my one mobo it only supports sli in xp for some reason. I haven't experimented with vista detecting two cards and just not enabeling sli to see if that works though. It would still be interesting to see the results.

my 26kppd is running vista64 and my 19kppd is running windows7 64bit.

Why don't you up the time rather than turn off monitoring?

Btw some of the folks across the pond are in TA fighting OcUK 😉

Thx Neurodog 🙂.

we're pretty good and tomorrow evening the race will be over! I guess we'll keep position 2 yay expect for a mega-output from the team in position 3... :Q

You have to be careful with seti about the whole "saving up for a last minute dump" strategy.
You never can tell when seti might go offline, and all your WU be not counting for the race!!

Sorry AS1, I don't understand?

You're one of the good guys AS1😉 Actually, I have a lot of respect for the Spankers; the gauntlet thread on their forum is fun to follow....very intense with a bit of fun and they are doing everything they can to catch us!

I have a problem with the yanks at south park with the private forum. I don't get that at all.

Thx Neurodog 🙂.

OMG, our lead is less than 100K!!!

EDIT:errors😉

Am I wrong in thinking that if they dump lots of WUs near the end that those WUs might match a bunch of our pending WUs and give us more points too?

My pending is 33,266!

When does this thing end?

Man, my work has kept me busy and I really haven't had a real good chance to look things over. It seems we are still doing well. Good job everyone. ;

My rigs went down for a day as I wasn't home and my brother was doing some electrical and shut down all my machines via breakers. Glad I came home early enough to reset everything and get things going again. 🙂

Hopefully we have enough to make sure we wrap up second place. Pretty good for 11 members and thier crunching machines. 😎

I have 148,000+ pending.....🙂

I'm only at 60k... I guess those gpu wu's make a BIG difference in the amount of time it takes to receive credit.

It's already ended, but it's taking a long time to update the stats...

From the look of things, it ended a little earlier than it should have, since the final stats they're using was finished created... 11.5 hours ago, at 17:14 UTC.

But, atleast from both our sub-teams point-of-view, it doesn't matter that it ended a little early, since neither of them had any chance to catch the sub-team on the next place.

According to this site the spankers are really close to [TA]-TAS: the diff is only 87 555 credits.
[TA]-TAS crunched 7 617 113 credits and is #2,
[TA]-The Others crunched 2 777 856 and is #14.
Even if we had not split the team, we would not have reached 1st place, South Park has more then 11 million credits.

The gauntlet is over. 🙁

Congratulations, [Seti-USA]-South Park!

Thanks for the effort, the crunching and the fun. 😀

Well done!

Oh, BTW, I have 166K pending ... 😉

Edit: Spelling

Hey guys, it was great fun. You are all great competitors. We did quite a few cobbles as a group for seti.

dajeepster, it was fun trying to stay ahead of you individually man! Mad crunching there.
